As some of you know, I filled my antlerless and buck tag already and its only November 1st! I still have one herd control tag left to fill but I don't want to go chasing does and mess up the Ole mans hunting until after the rut. What can i do to keep my self busy until turkey season. I am probly going to shoot in the Scheels technohunt league this winter. What else is there?
No the license comes with 1 doe, 1 buck, and 1 herd control. I wish I could use the group hunting tactic for bowhunting.
Kinda what Afflicted said but maybe get someone else involved in hunting or take someone out hunting.
When I have filled all of the tags I want to I generally like to "hunt" some other stands in my area that I may not have got to during the season. By "hunt" I mean in season scouting for next year and I also take a camera to shoot anything that may come by. I know you said you didnt want to mess with your dads hunting but maybe there are some new areas you want to try that wont bother his hunting. This is a great time of the year to watch some incredible deer activity! Be warned though you will probably see a giant and be helpless to do anything about it
Yeah my buck IN season 2014 started Monday afternoon after I filled my buck tag....still hunting does for 2013.
I'm in the same boat. All I can say are the Bluegills are biting! You could go shoot CWD deer on public land. Unlimited tags for that.
