Seems like the boy has lost it and now it's got in his mind. Lame ass claim of a bad neck. We'd heard about his knee and all that but never heard about the neck. He whacks a ball into the woods and withdraws. I say he's just toast at this point. He's making excuses I think. He doesn't like the game so he's taking his toys and leaving the play ground. The boy is turning into a slug. Grow up Tiger.

    He withdrew?

On the surface......yeah. Lame. Is he injured? We'll see. Is he turning into JD? Maybe he needs a cigarette and a beer.

He won the US Open with a torn ligament and two stress fractures in his left leg, I guess I give him more credit than most in that if he was one for excuses, he would have had ample opportunity before.

I think most people OVER estimate his ability to walk in off the street and immediately be the Tiger Woods everyone is used to. This is a Professional Sport after all. I'd say after a few more months of getting into the rhythm of things and he will be back to his old self.

:)--He just has to get back out there and use his wood to put the ball in the hole.

Very interesting. I'd have to agree and say he's toast about now. Like has been said and documented, he's come back from injuries and lay offs before without missing a beat. He won the US Open without a leg. The biggest mental giant in the history of sports is now a mental case. Used to be what separated him from the rest. Now you see stuff like the Masters when he stabbed at a 2 foot putt and missed it and now WD from the Players with a mysterious injury? I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but ..... I don't know. Sounds iffy to me.

Report was a neck injury he stated he has been dealing with for a month. His playing partner said he was in pain when he shook his hand, who really knows,

I now believe he will not beat Jacks record, I am very happy if he does not. Having met Jack and talking with him a bit, he is one of the cooliest atheltes I have met.

I think no one knows just what he has been up to... but if I was to guess, I'd say no he hasn't been playing much golf at all. The media would have been all over it, they barely could catch him out of the house. I'd say Tiger did as Tiger was told for the past few months trying to get back in with his wife.

I have a hard time believing he is done at this point, but who knows man. I sure hope he isn't, it just isn't the same watching the final rounds on Sundays without him there.

You said athelte in a golf thread? How mis informed is that? LMFAO.
BTW, NASCAR is here in Dover this weekend NY. Want to come down and see it live ? I will spring for the tickets. Personally I'd rather watch it on TV instead of being there but I will forgo that if you want to go. I have a spare bedroom.

If you're talking golf with Jack....he IS better than you are!

Seemed OK when I met him. I missed playing 18holes with him on a coin flip.

Yeah I'll concede that. However, he puts his shoes on the same way I do. Doesn't mean you have to display the attitude. I'm sure he's not losing too much sleep over me though....:p

We will see. Right now I won't count him out as much as I can't stomach the man. What I will say is if he don't get his head right he is done. After what he has put himself through, I would say good luck with that.

After watching todays news conference... I'm thinking the boy is as phony as they come. I used to be a follower.... not anymore. He's a fake I think. Yes, he can play golf.... but he's a fake, phoney, lying pizzasheet.
