I hit a Buck with a 50Cal. ML last year a near perfect shot at 50 yards, looked for that Buck for 3 days could not find him.The shot all but knocked him off his hoofs, these animals at times will get away no matter it seems where or how you hit them. Every deer I have shot with my Grim Reapers has been recovered even if the shot was less than great. I would not get rid of them for anything, wether fixed or mechanical none are 100 percent perfect.I bet others with fixed heads have still lost deer with good shots taken at times. I blamed the Shock Wave round when I could not find my Buck because I figured at that close range it did not spread out like a hollow point would have. But in the end it just convinced me that my Buck had a will to live a few hours longer if he did not survive the hit. Never found proof he died in the area I hunt,if I see him again this year I will hit him twice as hard with my new 12 guage if I get the chance. At least you got yours, good job finding him.
