On febuary 2nd i was in a pretty bad car accident. My buddy brian picked me up from work the day I got home from working out of state. We were about 5 mins from my house going though a pretty busy area that time of day when a woman in a mini van ran a stop sign and tboned us in brian's F150. I was in the front passenger seat and the van smacked the door right where i was sitting. It smashed the door into where his shifter is in the middle of the floor. I was basically sitting on brians lap after we got hit. My pelvis was basically shattered and my 2nd through 5th vertibras are pretty smashed up. I broke my floating ribs on my right side and they ended up puncturing my lung. My leg was broke right above my ankle and my knee is shattered. Im pretty messed up but i was in the hospital from feb 2nd until april 7th when i got to come home. As of right now im in a wheelchair but the doctor says i have a really good chance to walk again as long as my surgery's for my back and knee go well. they already did my surgery on my pelvis on the right side. That went very well 14 screws and two peices of some type of wire they use for holding bones together. The doctor said in about 9 months i might be able to start some type of rehab so i can get back on my feet but i think its gonna take a lil longer. So guys i apologize for not being around and i hope everyone understands why i havnt been on. Im gonna be posting the pictures of the accident here in the next week hopefully im waiting for the guy who took the pictures who lived right across the street to email me them. So i just wanted to let everyone know and maybe for u guys to put me in ur prayers so i can someday get back into a treestand and archery hunt.

thanks for ur time guys for reading this

    steve

Sounds like you were very luck to survive. That being said, the Big Guy must have a plan for you. I pray you will have a complete recovery. As has been said already, don't give up......just take it little by little and focus on the end result that you desire.

I may not know you yet, but I believe that strangers are just friends that you haven't met yet. I'm truly sorry to hear about what has happened, but I wish you all the best and I pray that you get better as quickly as possible.
