I've never owned a pair of them, but after borrowing a friends today and seeing the advantage they provide getting after late season pheasants, I'd like to buy some. His were "Tubbs" brand and although they did the job, the bindings were not user friendly when its only about 7 degrees out. I'd probably only use them 7-8 times per year so I dont want to go out and spend a ton of money, but who uses them and what brands are good and not so good?

I bought 2 pair off eBay last winter. I don't remember brand names. One set was definitely better than the other. I get them out of the shed and look at them.

No idea what brand they are, but they let me motor around nicely while shed hunting!

I'll check for a brand name as well...
