Here in my area (5-D) of Pa we are expected to get a good amount of snow late tomorrow night through Saturday. I've still got 2 antlerless tags that keep me in he woods. It's just a beautifully different world when there's lots of snow on the ground. I'm excited. Anyone else going to be out hunting in the snow Sat?

I just got back from a 2+ mile hike. We have about 6 inches right now. I didn't hunt but opted to just check the area where I saw a nice 10 pointer earlier this season hoping to find that he made it thru rifle season. I also wanted to get a better feel for how the deer were traveling and bedding. I found 2 good spots for next years rut and I did find some tracks that might be my 10 pointer. I actually saw 3 deer and could have shot a fawn. It just stood there 20 yds away and watched me walk right by. I love the snow!

Yes, I'm in a Special Regulationss WMU (5-D) and if you've got tags you can hunt doe until Dec 23rd, then the regular late archery season (buck or doe) starts Dec 26th - Jan 9th. After that you can still hunt doe until Jan 23rd. Not too bad. lol

I've still got some doe tags, but I'm waiting until after Christmas to get out. They're calling for a foot or more down near me starting tonight. Looks like I'll be breaking out the snow blower tomorrow.

    Good luck Early.

We're not supposed to get snow this weekend in WY but I'm hoping we do so we can go mountain lion hunting. Guys think I'm crazy to go out tracking with a bow but what better to shoot a cat with than an arrow? I do love a good snowfall to hunt in though. I'm always amazed at how silent the already quiet wilderness gets when it's snowing

Hell yeah, we might even get a couple of inches tonight if the temps fall enough. I'm hoping I wake up to a winter wonderland tomorrow when I look out of my trailer.

IDK....I think I would take my chances of having sex with a blender......but each to their own LOL!! Call me a chicken $ hit but I don't care for hunting something that could be hunting me.
Back on topic, snow is the best, and amen to the walking thru an already quiet wilderness.
    Cheers
    Reese
