So I was talking to Diamond Don on my way to shed hunt on Sunday morning. As I arrived to my location I notice these tracks..... Please notice how these boots tracks go straight past that yellow Posted sign.... This set of woods is posted every 75 feet down the length of this side road. There were grid style tracks every where. I guarantee they were shed hunting. This is also the property I have all of the issues on. This is the last straw. I will find out who is trespassing.
Trail cam mounted 10 feet in a tree. Make sure it takes silent pics and is surrounded by cover so they cannot see it.
Welcome to my world. Guys trespass to shed hunt everywhere near me. Justin and I hunt a local farm where they've been doing it for years. It's what forces me to shed hunt my own lands weeks earlier than I should be.
The problem with that is I don't have but one monster shed and I'm not taking the chance of losing it! Seriously I only find small and medium sized sheds. I do however like the way you think
That's one of those things I have NO tolerance for. It's blatant disrespect and it's like a slap in the face...especially with snow on the ground so there's no care of being caught.
The only spots I have where people don't tresspass there's no deer! I feel your pain my friend! Landowner caught some a-hole trespassing on one my spots this past fall. Dude drove down the access road and parked there like he owned the place. Turns out he was hunting less than 30 yards from one of my stands AND he was illegally baiting. Unbelievable.
I feel for ya Scott That has got to suck, even i decided to do something like that I still wouldnt have the balls to leave the evidence in the snow and blow my cover BUT I dont do those things any way. Hope you catch him
Want me to come over? Tracking down trespassers is my specialty and I don't even snow on the ground. :D
We have problems with this as well. One of our neighbors takes free reign and just drives his 4-wheeler all over the place looking along fence rows and all over the fields. About 3 or 4 years ago he found a matching set to a buck that was killed the year after on neighboring land that scored in the 190's. I would love to say something to him, but it's not my land, and my dad doesn't see the need to make a big fuss about it.
Man, I can't even imagine how frustrating that is. You um.....sounded a little pissed on the phone, and I don't blame you. I'll come over and go Rambo on their arses...
Wow Scott... that sucks buddy... give me a ring and I'll be over for a good ol' fashion tresspasser beating!!!! One thing good about all my properties is that there is absolutely zero shed hunting/poaching beside myself. Nobody wants to go out in the cold/snow to find the sheds, but you gotta believe that once season rolls around (as long as there is a stud on the property like back in 05', 06', and 07') every single person in the county is sneakin onto the property trying to poach that deer.
