From what I hear there are lot of 2% out there:)...my buddies have some terrible horror stories - frozen peas, bloody balls the size of softballs...damn

SevenMag...I'm sorry but that is as funny as it gets.

I'm in the same boat, #4 due in 2 months and we're done...told the wife I can't get the boys cut...we talked to her OB doc, and luckily, it is super easy for woman to have done if you do it right after delivery - otherwise doc recommends the guy...but after 4 kids, she knows we're sure. As of now - the wife is open to it...

Your balls have nothing to do with being a man. Taking a little discomfort for your wife so she does not have through major surgery is being a man.

7mm that was one of the funniest things I've ever read. I got coworkers looking at my like I'm nuts...

My daughter was born and less than 6 weeks later I lost mine...It's not that bad and much safer than having the wife go under again...

Right, keep telling yourself that. I kinda equate it to getting your balls chopped off. Hey, its just my opinion.

Wow, what did men do for thousands of years past? Would you be called a metrosexual?

Did I say I didn't. Why is everyone taking my opinion so personally. I just know I won't do it. I just cant' imagine being a man shooting blanks.

Why doesn't the wife get the procedure done, while she's on the table, already, giving birth to the one ya'll know you want to be the last?

    Fair question?

I weep for our future that ones status as a man is defined with such a selfish and immaterial matter as to being able to reproduce... any idiot can reproduce, a real man doesn't have to be able to reproduce to show his manhood... but if you think it makes you less of a man, well, frankly, I'm sorry for your wife.

during a c-section, sure, otherwise it is MUCH more invasive of a procedure... general anasthesia, many stitches and long recovery time... for men its a half hour office visit with a local... sometimes it makes sense for the woman, 99% of the time it doesn't...

So (trying to learn something, here), if you polled 100 couples who've "done something" along these lines......you're saying it's closer to 99-1 (or, in that neighborhood.....as I realize that's not realistic) that the man has the procedure?

    Again, just curious.

I only know of one woman that has, my SIL... when my 2nd niece was born c-section they 'fixed' her cuz they were already in there... if she had delivered vaginally my brother was to call the doc shortly after they got home from the hospital once the girl was safe and healthy

Interesting. I am one person. I have my opinions. My father, and his father, and on and on, made it thru life without this procedure.

Why are you taking this so personally? Don't worry about weeping for our future, I would say in this day and age, my opinion of this is the small minority. These days, people gets fat, have a procedure to swrink your stomach. You feel down, take a pill. You can't sleep, take a pill. You can't control yourself to pull out or wrap, have a procedure. Yea, real men.

Quite the contrary, one man posts an opinion, and you jump all over it. My opinion doesn't matter, and should have no effect on how you feel about you having this procedure done. I just know, I can't jump on this bandwagon of instant gratification that modern men practice. If they have no troubles, go for it.
