I try to stay away from the junk. Usually I'll have trail mix, granola bars, beef/venison jerky an mre or two and the camelback of course. Now that's just the food. Depending on what type of hunting I plan on doing determines which pack and what else goes in it. When in the blind or on stand I pack a book, my camera and the rest of the possibles. If still hunting or spot/stalk then I cut the weight down and only bring the essentials.
I'll take stuff like peanut butter sandwhich (or ham and cheese), peanuts, beef jerky, apple and water. What I take exactly depends mostly on how long I am sitting.
sooo true, and i dont even like candy! more often than not... Venison Summer Sausage! all cut up with some cheese
That's just mean Isaiah! Can't be up in the tree with a bow and eating venision! No wonder why the deer never come around you!
Venison snack sticks. It's something about eating venison while hunting for it that meshes with my soul.
Love the snickers idea. I will be hitting the store today loading up on goodies for the weekend! No idea what yet.
Have any of you ever tried those Elk sticks... From pea ridge.. they are pretty good and dont smell to strong.. I have taken an apple before but it makes way to much noise
I normally don't bring anything unless I'm doing an all day sit.... If it's an all dayer - normally just bring a couple of candy bars....
