I am looking for a smoker to do sausage and sticks in and was wondering what you all think is the best one for that job! Can you tell me what is your best thought on a smoker?

    Dawg,

I had a Brinkman Barrel style Charcoal smoker and it worked OK. Preacher Tony had the same one in Electric and that was much better. However, neither of these were good enough for me and I went with a propane box style that Gander Mountain sells for like $179. It is GREAT! I have smoked trout, turkey, chicken, game hens and sausage in it.

I would recommend the propane style. the Bradley are the top of the line, but I am very happy with mine. It is a Smoke Hollow.

imho, unless you are going to go big with a $1000+ offset rig or the Big Green Egg you simply can't beat the WSM... big enough to load 40lbs of pork shoulder in and will run 20+ hrs on a single load of fuel... and its made in the usa weber quality
