Bought a Solostove a few years ago. Used it once camping. It never did quit smoking completely although the smoke did go straight up. Didn’t get to enjoy watching the fire because it was 90% in the stove. Just the tops of the flames rose above the stove. Couldn’t see the coals burning unless yo stood up close and looked down into it. Sold it to a guy the next spring. It did sell quickly as I priced it 50% of what I paid new. I’d give it a Zero star rating.
Thank you Rich that was exactly the information I needed to veto the purchase. I was against the idea because we already have a fire pit and my wife wanted it on the patio. Problem is at night with the lights on in the house the bugs come to the patio at night, not so much mosquitos but bugs coming to light.
Hey Sota is this an idea you guys would like? My dad used this all the time when they traveled in the camper. If you have an outdoor grill then you just grab the tank and have a fire.
^^^ That’s what we should have bought rather than the Solostove. BTW Sota, tell your wife not to be mad at me for the review. I’m sure though you’d rather she be mad at me rather than an expensive solo you don’t use.
