Got a smartphone today... browsing through the different apps... seems everyone one of the apps require all of this "Permission" in order to download...

Things such as location, delete sd card content, capture pics from camera, etc...

Can anyone shed some light on this for a total newb like me?

    It's Android btw.

Any "must have" apps that you guys suggest?

That's pretty much common with all apps. I think it's some legalality where they have to inform you of the information their app is going to use, since it's so easy for the app to access info on your phone.

I have scout look. It's a quality weather/hunting app. I also have My tracks which is a nice GPS tracking app, it's free and well worth the price:). I have Radar Now, which is a very basic, but quick way to see the radar for your location.

I use a ton of apps... but very few related to hunting. Most every app asks for permissions... don't be put off by it.

Tapatalk is good for this site. :)
