Smallest big deer ive ever seen

    This buck has me confused. Absolutely huge body. If you cover up his rack he screams 5+ years old. His rack looks like a 2 year old in this area though. My guess is one of two things. Either he is super old(8-9) and went downhill, or he is 5 and just has crap genetics. Thoughts?

    Hard to tell without something else in the same place to compare with. It isn't thin, looks to have a big chest and belly... Legs look thick also.

    because his frame is the size of a typical 2 year old buck in my area. his body is not a 2 year old body. There are 2 other bucks on the farm that have similar body sizes, and both are 160+ inch deer. His frame is more like 125"

    He still has time to grow, his genetics probably played a part in that but he is fat.
