Well another morning with out a good one down. Im not complaining so dont get me wrong :d Im still covered in bucks daily but just cant get the right ones close enough, or out of the brush for a shot. This morning found me in a strange tree that i set up in trying to get a crack at a buck i had seen yesterday morning at about 100 yards. This is a buck i had also seen the other evening in the same general area but i had watched from yet another stand. Well this morning a spike starts it off walking right by me, i was smiling :d Then at 8:00 i see movement in the thicket im hunting beside. I see a Doe in that, i have something chasing me kinda fashion. Seconds later its the buck im pursuing, but instaed of cutting out of the thicket past me like i have been watching alot of deer do they continue and exit it on the back side about 80 yards from me. I grunt, he stops, i grunt again, he starts toward me and locks up for 15 minutes straight before heading toward where the Does had gone. Now there is an 8 point following him that i have passed on twice. five minutes later the biggest 4 point i have ever seen walks by me. I have noticed that in the three sightings that he has came or went through a small bottle neck on the back corner of the thicket, and in between a small patch of a thick grown up area. SO, i now have a tree picked out for this evening and tomorrow morning if need be. wish me luck. like i said its mature buck or nothing this year.

Sounds like you're getting close and have a good game plan - keep tightening up that noose until you've got him! Keep at it, get in there, get aggressive, and it will pay off. I dig the "all or nothing" attitude. That's good stuff right there. :tu:

Well tonights update on the move. The big boy did not show but i did see a very white racked 8 point at 80 yards under the tree i killed my buck in last year :d he was about a 100"er 35 minutes before dark another darker racked 8 point walks right through my necked down bottle neck at 20 yards  he looked a little over 100" Now for the good stuff and this is just a guess :deer: 20 minutes before dark i hear a very LOUD DEEP grunt in front of me about 80 yards out but i cant see it... guess where it was :d near the tree i moved from this morning :hater: I left my climber on the tree i was in this evening and will be back in the morning..
