Had a good doe slip in on me at 12 yds this evening. I would have never knew she was there if I had not seen her legs from the knees down. She came in facing my side. I let her get broadside a couple times but never raised my bow. She just seemed alert to something. Stared her down for like 3 minutes. Finally she walked off into the edge of a thicket. I saw her pin her ears back and look into the thicket. About that time I saw the head and neck of another deer in the thicket close to her. Did not look like a fawn or yearling. Kinda glad I opted not to attempt a shot. This could have caused a major issue in the edge of a bedding area. Maybe later.

    Stealthy animals they are.:)
