Last week I put a sling on my bow, and I'm somewhat questioning my decision. Does a sling positively affect your form any? They seem like they would bother me more than anything, while getting ready to shoot in the stand or trying to make split decisions. It seems as if its an obstacle. Who here shoots a wrist sling, and what does it do for you good or bad? my second question is, I just put on a quiver spacer behind my sight, and its throwing off my shot. I have an HHA OL-5519 one pin with just the setup tape on. I got a new bow on christmas, and my tape was sighted in right as I mounted it on the bow. I have never acturally sighted it in because it has always worked fine on sighted in perfectly. Now that I mounted that spacer, It is throwing off the lucky perfect sight. Im thinking of just removing both the sling and quiver mount all together. Also is there any advantages of having the Ds model of the HHA if im only going t be hunting? is one a faster adjustment?

I got used to the sling in no time. I have a very light grip when I shoot, and can't even imagine shooting out of a tree without one. The sling should be loose around your wrist so as not to effect your form. Check out Weber Bow Slings. Very comfortable and good looking.

Lets do one thing at a time.

The sling can be a help if your having issues torquing your bow, a more open hand position and grip will help alleviate that...and sling provides piece of mind that you have you bow slip out. They are not without issues though. First a really open hand that sling catches your bow isn't the most repeatable in so far as consistency. It tends to be people quick fix rather than working on a consistent torque free closed grip. A sling if its too loose can be cumbersome in some hunting situations if you have to fumble to get it over your wrist. A stiffer material will fix that.
I do not shoot with sling, although i have a various time in the past and will if i cant gain a decent grip on bow....Bows with grips like that I get rid of anyway.

The spacers, or off set bracket that mounts behind the HHA will force you to re adjust your sight because the mount moves the sight further to the right for right handed shooter, it is no longer on the riser as the mount now sits between the riser and the sight. Add to that weight and position of the quiver and your only option is to resight in..
