I'm looking at new broadheads and in particularly at the slick trick lineup. Today I found 100gr Slick Trick Razortricks on sale for $18/per 3 on sale from $27. I bought them and after shooting thunderheads, muzzys, and Magnus heads....I do not know if there is a head that compares to these as far as sharpness out of the package. My arms are now clean shaven! Aside from that, anyone have experience with them that could comment on them and if I should go back and buy more from the sale?

my buddy uses the slick trick and they leave awesome bloodtrails. He's tickled to death about them. I use the magnus stinger but i would use the slick trick w/o hesitation.also the shwackers are awesome if you like mechanicals my advice is try and see on a block target for penetration and that will tell the tale

I wasn't a fan of my slick tricks. They didn't seem to stay put together very well. One time during a stalk I looked out and the head had came apart. I am now shooting NAP Thunderheads. I love them so far. They both worked well in my bow against the Glendel, but I havn't taken a deer with bow yet so I can't vouch for blood trails. The NAP's come in a pack of 6 for about the same price as Slicks, so I think of it as a good deal.

The threaded section(body) that goes into the shaft is a weak point. It will bend/snap easy. The head just needs to be strengthened a little more in that area and it would be awesome. I love it otherwise. I have bent three target practicing and no I didn't hit anything except a foam target. If anyone else has had this problem please let me know.

The Razor Tricks are my least favorite in the line up. If you like them and you can buy them for $18 you better jump on it as their heads took a price increase across the board for 2010.

Any Slick Trick that comes apart while screwed on an arrow was never put together correctly in the first place. They are Super tough, super sharp, & super accurate.

Atlas is that a "2-blade" version??? Looks like it's missing the blade retention ring as well, could be part of the problem w/ blade being snapped off. I see it's bloody though, which means it must've hit something "good."

My standards and magnums are AWESOME BH's that I've shot over and over and over again, put a quick edge back on them, and they're ready to kill again. Best BH I've ever owned, however I've heard more than a few guys disappointed w/ the Razor-tricks.

Doug, That's why I said the Razor Trick is my least favorite head.

The last 2 years I've shot the Grizz Tricks killed 4 turkeys, 7 whitetails including 2 P&Y class Bucks, and 2 Mulie Bucks.

    Performance has been Awesome!!

I've got a GrizzTrick that is buried in a section of the spine on an 8 point. I left it in there, and the head still looks intact.

Buck dropped in his tracks like you had shot him with a 30.06:)

Just curious as to why you both say the razortricks are the weakest of their lineup up? The seem to be fairly strong and I like the COC design. $18 was cheap enough for me to buy and try them but maybe I will decide against them.

I'm not 100% sure which slick trick I use but the ones that I do use I love. They are incredibly durable and work amazingly. I shot my deer with it this year, my dad shot his with one and my brother shot his coyote with one. They put a impressive hole in a animal and are very sharp. I just paper tuned my bow today and shot some blades into a foam block with my new bow (diamond marquis) and they flew exactly like my field tips.

I use the 100gr. Mags and love them. I've only used them for one year, but I have a 100% success rate with them, and had a relatively easy blood trail to follow. My blades had a couple of nicks in them, but nothing major, and could probably be used again.

I used 100 grain Slick Tricks the last 2 seasons, and I took 2 deer and lost 1 with them. The one I lost was my fault though, I hit too high :o The 2 I killed, I couldn't find a blood trail to save my life. It seems like I'm the only one that has had that problem, so I think I just have had some bad luck with them haha

I shoot the Slick Tricks and they are tough as nails. They'll shoot the same as Field tips to 50 yards because I've done it.

Here are some Slick Trick facts:

The blades are thicker than most other broadheads: .035"

The blades come from Solingen and have a Rockwell hardness of 54, I believe, which is harder than all others except the Silver Flames.

There are four blades, with a combined cutting surface of 2" on the smaller, Standard head, and even more on the Magnums.

The Alcatraz locking system causes the blades to be interlocked within the ferrule. They cannot pop out.

The new ferrules are constructed of a steel that is stronger than titanium.

They fly extremely well and are guaranteed to fly like a field point, or you get your money back.

The owner of the company will quickly and faithfully reply to all your inquiries.

My dad shot a deer with them this year...right height but about two inches forward...deer went 30 yds...broadhead is still in good shape!

    I would recommend them.
