I read somewhere that slick tricks dont perform as well with straight vanes, does anyone know about this?! The reason I was asking is because my archery shop told me that Carbon Express are not making bare shafts right now and that I would have to buy thier pre-flected shafts, which I believe are straight fletched. If anyone has any thoughts or expericance's with this I would love to hear them.

    Thanks, Hunter

They are probably fletched straight, with an offset.

I have no idea why you would be told that. My only guess is that usually, with fixed heads, you want an off set of helical to spin them and stabilize better.

If it were me, I would buy the fletched arrows and try them. If they don't shoot well for you, you can always refletch them anyway you want.
