You should add mule deer to your list Just Passin Thru... I went on my first spot and stalk mule deer hunt this year and it was the most exciting hunt of my life!

I just googled what the super 10 was. I just don't have any interest in hunting some of those animals. Zero interest in hunting a cat. Very little interest in goats/sheep. More power to you if that's your thing.

I think I could afford the Turkey slam. Except I don't know how to turkey hunt LOL.

I think its an amazing feat, and I appreciate the principle of it, but I wont hunt cats or polar bears. I like the deer slam idea, and maybe some other collection of animals that I consider game animals like the tasty slam.. But I'm not into predator hunting per se.

I think a Sheep with a bow is the pinnacle of hunting achievements. Most prestigious creature on the continent with archery equipment, how can you top it?!

Close!!! Had a nice buck (not huge but 140" or so) at 43 yards for over 3 hours. He stood up and came directly at me, grunted at me 5 times but I was never able to connect. He spooked, ran 400 yards, and I was able to stalk to 40 yards again but he was on the other side of the knoll and once again, couldn't connect. I'll never forget it

I still want to try it. I always laugh when people say hunting a cat is off their list because you have to use dogs. That hunt is no walk in the park and one certainly more demanding than most guys on this site will ever see.

I've been along once on a hunt and it takes a very physical person. Not easy at all. Some day I'll go again but I'll be the one with the weapon in hand.

I've eaten bear numerous times and its at least a billion times better eating than venison. Maybe even a trillion times better.

You should have given them venison, told them it was bear and kept the bear all to yourself.

    You and me both.

And I agree on the bear front. I was skeptical the only time I ate it, and it was freakin delicious. In bear camp with minimum kitchen supplies and seasonings to boot. Can't wait to get one in the freezer (but that'll have to wait until Spring '15).
