Sorry to hear Dawg. Sucks losing one. Good luck getting out there again. You’ll get redemption.
Western id have a tough time holding back on a bear. My favorite. Hope the deer pick up for you.
This season turns out to be providing pretty sweet. Even without hunting for weeks and today just after I got home wife was an hour or so behind and she came on a fresh button Buck that got bumped. Dnr is stopping out tomorrow with a tag for me. Skinned and gutted and not really finding damage unless it shows up more tomorrow. Gonna be a nice chunk of bonus meat. Can’t let any go to waste

Dawg that sucks! I know the feeling. I had a doe once I hit a little high in no mans land. I did everything right. Left her over night, started searching in morning. Just like you, I was able to track about 200 yards of blood. Then after that it just stopped. We went on another 200 or so and spread out. See if anyone could find any sign.... nothing!

I am back from texas, took 3 bucks pretty much exactly like the one I posted as my fergie. Had a great time, saw a ton of deer. Didn't see any nice shooters though. One guy took a nice 150" class buck which is a whopper down there. You see that rack on small body southern deer, it looks huge!

I still have one more tag for Ontario. My points no longer matter but I will be looking to fill the freezer. I have until Dec 31 to chase tail. But I might stop a little early this year and focus on killing the coyotes early this year. I have seen more this year then ever before. So I think I need to put in some time.

Well, I think I have found another target and if I get this one I am sure I might be sleeping on the couch for a very long time. The reason for that is that I would have TWO deer at the taxidermist. I wish I would of got back a day early from Florida and this sucker would be here now. I will be hunting hard for the next two days then I have to sit for 4 since it is second season of shotgun season. I sure hope that if I don't get him he lays low. Somehow he skated out of the first season. I have to say for my little 5 acre spot I sure do like FUNNELS! I am the funnel between two timbers. Here is what I am talking about and then a picture of my 4 x Spike that is now off the radar due to being broke and this big fella[IMG] :

    great pics dog!
    Hope you whack him.
Things will be crazy here now the rest of the year until season ends. The guys push everything. the deer that don't get killed go into hiding. Sometimes the week of Christmas it gets decent again if you can find any food.
I'll keep grinding when I can, but not work is priority again... lol

I'm still hunting guys. Well, watching squirrels anyway. I'm chalking this year up as the worst ever. Between EHD and road hunters...this sucks! Never in the last 15 years since building this house have I ever seen it this bad.

AWESOME happy for you brother! Again, kudos at handling the questions like a champ instead of a chump like many have. If those numbers are right, which I have no justification to question them...I 100% have no shame admitting that deer fooled me. Again like said awesome deer, awesome harvest and you have every right to be smiling over him!

Can't wait for you to share the taxi photos in the Spring time!

Also you guys as a team are just nasty on a roll.....N...A....S...T....Y....

Very well said Ty. I'm not afraid to say, I was in the same boat as you. That deer fooled the hell outta me.
    Congrats Andrew!

Two days of ZERO deer seen. Shotgun back up for the next four days so looks like I will be cleaning out my garage and hanging my cabinets up. I will be back out on Monday morning with the bow. I still have plenty of time to get my other 50 points and I plan on tagging a few more deer so I will not give up easy.

Thinking the same thing. Lots of time left, but it’ll have a good look to it

Anything’s possible. Sometime back in one contest I remember one team stacking up a pile of points like that within like a week or twos time, I think it was in 2017, team 3...
