Bow is hung up for season.
In cape cod for my daughter’s hockey tournament. Gun season Monday. I’ll be out with e black powder. I’ll you guys posted. I hope all had a great and safe thanksgiving. Let the holiday madness begin....

This was a road kill about 25 miles from my house. Reportedly green scored 206 and change. I'm not sure if it's quite that big but I hope he bred every doe in NW Arkansas.

Ugh what a waste. I hate seeing deer like this hit by cars or cwd. Someone should have arrowed that deer lol.

From the looks of that head, it must have been a huge deer. It still amazes me to think that much material can travel through a deer's blood stream in less than a year.

 

Hello boyz! sorry been gone up north for the gun season. got an 8ptr opening weekend on Sun @ 0830. Nothing big, probably 115-120? Typical Black River Falls public land buck but good to get the pressure off. I was the only one to connect out of 6 guys. I am blessed this year. Gonna try to get out and get a doe but I have really have to make room in my freezer as it is just packed full to the gills. It won't be for a few weeks into Dec before I can get out. Hope to have some snow on the ground.
WOW! RB that is crazy! that's cool you got it though. Yeah we are certainly connecting this season. gonna go check my trail cam card some time and see what else has been out there.

Doe shot went onto another property having issues getting ahold of owner!

 

Well, hunted quite a bit over the holiday weekend for a doe. No luck. Saw a ton, but no shot opportunities.

I'll be back after it next weekend. It'll be shotgun season here, but I've got a group of does behind the house on a daily basis I'll be after.

Anyone else still after it?

Well track three properties lost blood on second still Can not find my doe! Makes me angry with losing dear I must’ve only clipped one lung. Good blood for 100 yards then two clots and nothing after that. My arrow was hanging out of exit side and can’t find that either.

 

Back in stand saw 8 point and two doe no shot

 

Bummer about the doe dawg.

Sucks dawg. Happens. I hate that feeling though. Went out for gun opener. Sat half day. Didn’t see anything. My buddy came up the mtn as I was leaving. He was still hunting. Shot a really nice half rack. Happy for him
I did have another bear come by. Could have shot. I have a video but don’t know how to post. Bad video though. Lol
