What state are you in, Andrew? The only reason I ask is that looks like a real good 3 1/2 year old around here.
    Great deer either way!
    Congrats!

I always get thrown off with pics. Angles and all that, one angle same buck looks twice the size of others, some look half the size. Some guys are within an inch or two from pics, some off.
My guessing was I’ve got a set of sheds on a fake skull that was 140. As a ballpark I think Andrews’s has him by a few inches, but again some pics of this one look way smaller and some way bigger.
I know he’s cool about it and that’s what matters and it’ll be figured out. I just know how some get too fired up and offensive especially on social media when best to just hold back and see

Illinois. He’s definitely at least 4.5, due to history. We’ve seen him the past 3 years. And three years ago, he had to have been either an absolute protege of a 1.5 yr old, or 2.5. Never could get him on trail cam. I think his home range was on a neighbors property and he would expand to ours once the rut started up. But he’s never had any brow length. Nicknamed him stubby, due to that fact.

Andrew its a trophy deer, and I would have shot it all day long. Those tall tines are ridiculous!

Re check all your scores ( I did mine like 8 times lol, then had the taxidermist do it) I found errors each time I did it. And finally when I went to the taxi with my 8th revision lol, we were pretty close.

Post all the measurements in here first if you want and we can add it all up with you before you post it on the scoreboard. We got some real experienced guys on this team who can help.

Looking at Tyni deer though, I would argue Andrew is bigger. The G2 on Andrews are a lot longer.

Yup, I'd argue his deer has G2s around the 12 inches he states. Which means his have about 1.5 on the one I shared. Our G3s are similar but I'd give mine the edge there. Slightly. Either way that is why I shared it...I actually the second I saw Andrew's buck thought of mine due to just how similar they were minus small differences....mine has slightly better mass as well. I wouldn't be shocked one bit for his deer to be within 4 inches shy or right around mine given measurements he told me his apparently has.

Your opinion though Chago doesn't bode well....you aren't familiar with us commoners not killing Booners LOL!!!

I get 127 4/8 being fairly generous IMO.

He PM'ed me last night, I thought he was just ribbing me about sandbagging like Chago when he said he thinks he's bigger and will have taxi score him. My opinions to him were as honest and respectful as I could be.

I originally put him with 11" G2's and 6" G3's 2" brows and 15" IS. Using his new pictures, and the IL tag on his G3 which measures 2 1/4" crosswise I got the following, used same numbers for both sides which won't be exact. I used his grip i the first image he posted to get a mass reference as he was able to close his hand around the beam at the C2 measurement.

    G1's 3"
    G2's 12 2/8"
    G3'S 7"

    C1's 4 4/8"
    C2's 3 4/8"
    C3's 3 4/8"
    C4's 2 4/8"

    MB's 19 4/8"

    IS 16"

I think it is really close to that.

A buck I would shoot every year without question

Close on the measurements but not quite. G1s were roughly 3 4/8” both. G2s were over 13, G3s were 7 4/8 and 8 and some change, mass was held above 4 inches for the first two. And just shy of 4 after. MB- 21 and change. Spread was 19 3/8, I believe. All of these numbers are rough off the top of my head. I’ll post pics with tape for verification. I don’t want there to be any questions or disagreements. Maybe the pics don’t quite show everything?

With racks its all about angles, they are quite deceiving. None of your pictures show him head on so spread is a bit off. Surprised he is wider than mine.

This is a 140 8pt. 22" spread and 24 1/2" beams. It takes a special whitetail to hit 140" as an 8 pointer and you got yours 4 1/2 inches bigger.

I didn't want to bring it out pu licly, was fine with the conversation we had last night

Like I said, I’m not too worried about score. It’s a mature deer and I’m happy to have caught up to him. Talking with an official scorer right now trying to work schedule out. If I can’t get him I’ll have a second person score it other than taxi, and post pics of tape if necessary. Not too worried.

Dude, can I just say Andrew is flat out a solid guy. I am always worried expressing concern or discussing a particular deer's score because so many get all up in arms and it can get ugly. This whole dialogue has been refreshing and we all agree with one thing and that is he deserves a huge congrats no matter what.

Oh and we also learned that somehow Chago must not still be spooning with his booner as he graced us with his time here LOL. Taxidermist must have the antlers at the moment :) ! (I still cannot believe that whole thing worked out brother, incredible deer and story!)

Bahaha...I never even commented till today. I genuinely am curious at measurements due to how close his is to mine with small variations. Awesome buck though, tall Gs are just a thing of beauty IMO.

Yeah it started before you got involved, feels like a week at this point so I made my piss off retroactive for a day.

My concerns were team related, as a team second to them in score I'd be doing our members a disservice nit speaking up. I was going to wait until a scoring breakdown was posted to match the score and voice concerns with the captain. Since it was being debated publicly I put a few concerns and opinions out.

No animosity, jealousy or otherwise ill intent meant. I would hope other teams would do the same, its just not a subject to be discussed in public most times.

Have your team go kill some more deer and it won't matter. Probably won't anyway.

Nothing wrong with having conversations boys. That's what the forum is for. Andrew is a hunter and is after mature deer. And I tell if I saw that deer the day before I saw mine. I would have shot and filled my tag. Great deer.

Cls that's a huge deer! I agree people don't realize how big a 8 has to be to get to 140". Either way Andrew will recheck it.

And yes the taxidermist took my deer and left me with a piece of paper with a green score. And a bill lol. Although.... I told him I already had separation anxiety and so many people want to see this rack. So I'm going to pick up the rack and I can hang on to it while he tans hide and I wait my turn etc. So when it's time I'll just go drop off my rack. So tonight he will be in my bed with me lol.
