Good luck Chago. If you need it :)
That would be a pretty welcome change up. I love snowy winter sits, but gotta say after a while of cold a warm one would be great. Someday id like to try some Texas hunting, and bunch of other places. Looks like definitely different than here

Texas is a lot of fun for a young hunter. I plan to bring my daughter next year. A friend of mine owns a ton of land down there. And he likes to go down and cull hunt as he is in the management program. So he gets a ridiculous amount of tags. And it's honestly not hard to fill them. You will see 20+ deer every sit. The deer are much smaller so you could literally kill 3 deer for the same amount of meat as 1 Canadian deer. We occasionally see some nice bucks. 120-140. But like I said for a youth hunt it's great cause then they get lots of action.

Had at least a 140” about 60 yards from my stand but never came closer than that. Couldn’t tell if he was an 8 or 10. If it was a 10 he would have been pushing 155 range. Wouldn’t come in for anything.

That’s awesome. Sounds like a really good time. He have hogs and predators in there with them too? Thought I’ve seen they’re a problem down there but coulda mixed up my states. I think your Canadian deer beat out most for size. Always interesting seeing people’s pics and the areas they’re from

It's Texas, hogs and coyotes are like mosquitoes lol.

Ya it's super different for me down there. I'm used to -20, heavy woods. So you could 4 deer around you and not even see them. I'm not in a area where there is much agriculture, mostly big woods. Texas is wide open spaces with small wood lots. So you see deer non stop.

I bring my foxpro every year and smash coyotes and hogs.

That’s awesome. I think that’s where some buddy’s did their hog hunt. That’s another one I want to do. Might have to plan a trip there when the kids get big enough to join in too. Glad they like all the hunting and stuff cause it makes it tough to argue getting to do that stuff with them and use them as the excuse for it

With a fergie buck you guys will have approx 118 to 125'ish lead. We still have one good buck with a score pending, gave it a modest 160 guesstimate but should be over that.

Huntings getting tough with all the gun seasons going

Just got bad news today. My neighbor called and he has sold his place. Have until Wednesday to get everything out. I haven't met the new owner yet but he's a hunter so odds are I've lost that spot. I'll be hanging a stand at my dad's and hunting it Thanksgiving. There are a couple of guys I can talk to about hunting their land but it's kind of late to get permission this season. Wish me luck.

That sucks. Hope your dads works out and other options do too. Had a few buddies have same thing happen. I have someone new covering a lot of room around me too. Hoping not another that’ll wipe the area out more.

Awesome and congrats Andrew. I’m glad I’m done hunting, taking all my time and attention checking and more deer down.

Buck is only a spike. Having trouble uploading for some reason. Keep getting error message. I’ll try again later and get him entered.
