Keep at it Western. I've been frustrated for 17 years hunting lol. That's why I keep going lol. Angry at the deer for making it so hard lol

Boys took it to the taxidermist who is a pope and young scorer. A couple of the kickers that I thought counted did not. So he is...... Drum roll..... 189 3/8. Yes.... 5 damn 8ths away from 190...... On that note, I'm kinda glad...... Cause now I can fight the rest of my life to shoot a 190" deer.

    Scores posted.

Texas in a few more days. I should be able to pound out a doe or cull buck down there. My buddy has a farm and deer are like rats.

Chago that is one that might never get topped or at least most of us. Congrats my friend! What a STUD! 2 is the count! I put two in my buck also and got both shots on tactacam but need to figure how to put the video on here for you all to see. This weekend or shall I say Friday of shotgun season was a TAGGED OUT day for me. I shot two does since I want a second buck with my bow. I passed on a small but tall 8 point. He will be a very nice tall buck in a few years. After that two does came in and I shot the one the other ran to me and I took her. I am sure glad I did since a thunderstorm came in today. It was a down right waterfall from the sky. Flash Flood warnings popping up on my phone and now thanking the lord for the great day. I leave for Florida tomorrow and will be back at hunting next Monday with my bow! I best give the wife some time too or I might be up Poop creek with no paddle! HE HE HE Here are my two does:

Chago - congrats again, what a sick deer. I dug out some of my grandpas old racks that were in the 130s and my sheds that hit 140, and I can’t fathom what holding yet alone shooting with that hunt was like.
Western - hang in there. Hopefully just a little lull before it falls into place. You’ve earned it.
Dawg - good luck coming up and a congrats on the pile of groceries you got there. I gotta get to some spots I can stack them up like that. I’d say you’ve had an awesome season and still more to come

I’ve got both pics, he just needs to get a score over to me. I connected with him the other day he said he would do this weekend, if I don’t hear anything I’ll ping him Monday.

On doe patrol tomorrow guys. It’s gun season here, so my hopes aren’t real high but I’ll be after it early in the AM. Good news is the front has passed through, temps are dropping, and the pressure is rising. Haven’t pressured them behind my house much at all and have a family group back there in my clover plot about every 3rd day.

Good luck to those of you out there still!

cls in the rules you are not to wait till end or will not count. A lot of people used to sandbag and took some of the fun out of it.

Heavy winds and rain here this am. Didn’t go. The trees are swaying good. I’m hoping to get out this afternoon in Ny. Gun season on, but I’ll bring the bow. Land owner only allows me to bowhunt anyhow

It was a joke  We'd be pretty close to next years sign ups by then. We'd still be in the lead without his entry

I leave for Texas on Tuesday. Hoping to have a Thanksgiving doe or Fergie buck. I tell you the hunting will be very different. I'm leaving well below freezing. To go to like 80 degrees. I don't have short sleeves camo lol
