Letting him lay overnight. No blood where arrow is. Looked up ridge a bit and didn’t see him. Backed out.

Hey guys! been busy as all heck with everything but deer hunting. Congrats to everyone that got one recently. Man I'm amazed at all the bucks we're getting.
Western, good luck finding him. I'm sure he'll be stone dead by morning especially if you nicked a abdominal artery. Let us know soon as you get him. It'll be a sleepless night I'm sure.
Still plan on going after a doe, but I'll be honest I need a new chest freezer as my freezers are full and I don't have any room at all.

Good luck guys! I am work now and have a meeting at 9. Meeting up w/ a buddy as soon as I'm done and headed in to look. Unfortunately, it rained hard last night and is in the low 60's... ugh.. so I am not confident we will be able to salvage him IF we even find him now. Fingers crossed...
I'm exhausted. Barely any sleep last night. Just upset w/ myself.

Hang in there Western. Definitely don’t beat yourself up over it. Hopefully it works out and better than expected. Otherwise an honest effort is best you can do and there’s no doubt you’ll give that. I haven’t been hunting many years but definitely learned the crappy reality sometimes it doesn’t work out. Hoping this time it does. Good luck. Looking forward to results

Keep faith and if it is meant to be it will happen. It is all part of hunting and the sad part is none of us like that feeling when we lose or can not find our animal.

Sorry to hear Western. I’ve been checking every hour hoping to see good news. That’s a tough position to track in for sure. If my doe wasn’t in nice bright fresh snow there were at least a half dozen times we wouldn’t have been able to continue, fresh heavy rain to wash sign away puts even great scenarios to bad.
Is this an area you shed hunt or scout around heavy and might come up with later for closure?
Shake it off and make the next one count

Went out Tonight for last hour in rain. Rained died down last light and wind stared ripping. Had one come by but couldn’t see what it was. Looked small

Same deer put both arrows right next to each other. Went and picked up his trail 3 hours after shot. I must of clipped a lung cause the was a pile of blood bubbles where he stopped and stood. Thought that was a pretty good sign so we kept trailing him and we jumped him. He ran into one of our bottoms so we’re gonna leave him until tonight.

Good luck wake. Sounds like hopefully should be down. Looking forward to it. Just heard from someone I’ve got someone that’s gonna be hunting all around our surrounding property. Seems nice. Really hope so. Could use someone after all the gems that have messed with stuff for a while

My deer is still on the hoof. He was up in a tree line we hunt bedded down from my buddy 30yds in deadfall. Buddy hit antlers and he busted out of there. Not looking too good. And if all of that isn’t bad enough I had another real good one offer me more than 5 shots head down scent checking. Ughhhh!!!!
