Yeah well I was in trail cam rehab for a while and they wouldn't let me use them. #trailcamaddiction#1causeofdeathforbucks.

haha... i'm sure my family would recommend rehab for that as well!
Taking my daughter for bears tomorrow afternoon.. probably going to bring the muzzleloader too this time, in case she can't get a shot like last time.

No idea for me Western. If no one else on the team can maybe one of the other guys from another team would. Seems like some guys can do some impressive stuff and fast.
Nice hunt Dawg. I haven't got to really hunt geese for a few years but seeing that sure sparks the interest again

What do we want the avatar to look like? Ideas? Not that I know how to make one just wondering what y'all were thinking of.
And that's lot of geese man!

    So who's the captain?

Quick update for the team..........Have the two small plots behind the house done and they look great. I still don't have any bucks on cam but it's loaded with does and there is one buck in the 145-150" range that I've seen several times on the backside of the property. I just can't get him on our side and on cam quite yet.......but I'm pretty sure he'll be on our side once the beans on the other side get cut down in the next few weeks.

Also - Finished the plots we've got in the NW corner of the state done as well. I've got a pic below of one of the bigger plots. We'll have plenty of food on this place for sure.

So far I'm only running cams on my own property this year at the house. JZ and I managed to get in on an exclusive public land lottery for a spot about 20 minutes away from the house. I'll be heading out tomorrow to walk it the first time and will hang a handful of cams out there. Other than that, I'm not running cams this year on the better property we have out in Jo Daviess County. One of the other guys has a couple up, and he's got 3 decent deer on cam out there, but I'll be hunting without them for the first time in quite a few years. Even without cams, I'm pretty confident there are several deer in the 4-7 y/o class out there, so I'll have to put a plan together based on current sign and last years patterns.

Hope all is good for the rest of you, best of luck to anyone hitting the woods in the next week or so!

I'm headed out to SD tomorrow night to hang cams and pull cards. We left three cameras out over the summer so might have some horn porn for you guys.

On the avatar be cool with a noose or lasso that looks like tape around neck of big buck

Well, here is the group photo from our shoot the other day! One of the craziest hunts that I have ever had and one that will be remembered until the day I die. What a day! Now if I can keep it going this year with great hunts with more ducks, geese, and a wall hanger buck with my bow. That would be a Hunting Season for the Record Books! At least I am starting it off right!

That's a lot of dead Canadians lol. Nice shooting.

Our Canadian geese season opened up here yesterday as well. I just couldn't get out. I like to wait until 3rd week when ducks open as well. That way it's all game.

No joke! If I catch them, I might lose my mind. Haven't been that passed in years.

I more than agree on the trespassing. Sad part is there's not enough punishment for a deterrent against it and sometimes their rights are insane. Be nice to just have people be more honorable about it

looks like a good goose hunt and a lot of fun.. tagging out that quick!
    Trespassing sucks... no respect.
No bears Sat pm... going to go with her again tonight to try again...
this will prob be the last chance to get one this season as work and other commitments will be taking precedence until deer season starts.

Well guys got cameras set yesterday and pulled some cards from a few cameras that we left out there. Only have pictures from one though. One card accidentally was deleted and the other camera had a branch / leaf grow in front of it.

nice bucks!!!! Getting the fever with these cool nights and mornings. Saw a HUGE doe last night bear hunting w/ my daughter... can't believe there was no rack looking at the size of her... unreal.
Made the uneventful hunt a complete success
