Private land anterless only hunt starts this weekend. I'll be taking my 13 yo granddaughter out Sunday afternoon hoping to get her second deer ever. Never fear, I'll have my crossbow along for any good bucks that happen to show up.

My new bow came today. Those new press fingers I had to buy, should be golden. Price for them was unreal.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Had to share. If a view like that’s not motivating not sure what is, aside from the big racks on these pics, that would have been the upgrade from here

Oh man Dawg! that really sux. Very sorry to hear that brother. my condolences to you and your family. Don't worry about anything here. take care of yourself and your family.

Turro nice deer. It is amazing to see kids smile and get them hooked early.

Wake you gotta get that one with the crab claw mains, man he has a crazy lookin rack.

Well guys I'll have to admit it is really weird to be out of bow hunting this early. Not sure what the heck to do with the rut coming up and all. I've never shot anything this early. Not that I'm complaining, just weird. I hunted twice for 2 hr and 15 min in 2 days. The successful day was only 15 min. crazy!

Good luck to everyone else still hunting.

I hear ya' Woods! But, I would take your dilemma any day with that buck! haha...
I'm headed out this afternoon... but this AM would have been the day.. frost this AM... nice and cold... bit of fog.
Supposed to get to mid 60s later today and 70s again tomorrow!!! of course!
Mass opens Monday. I will check my cams tomorrow and Sunday and come up with a plan. With a little luck, i'll be dragging tonight... or tomorrow AM. I have not been into my NY spot since hunting the rain/wind storm Monday.

I’m in the woods. I only have a couple spots for this southeast wind. I’m sitting between bed and food with the wind blowing away from both. I’m hoping the deer will come across upwind and I’ll poke a shooter

Well, I had a doe and two bucks come in last night. One was my number one shooter but he didn’t have the chance to come in range. He was at about 50 yards and a coon walked basically right under him and spooked him. He took off and then hunt around at about 75 until dark.
