well got him caped and broke down into quarters. I'll butcher/package him this afternoon. A quick inside measurement was 17 1/2". Just for giggles I measured his neck circumference (big neck) 30". Man I couldn't get over all the meat on this dude and a good amount of fat already built up on the hind quarters. I'm getting him rough scored this afternoon by a buddy. I'd say 130-140? He's got 3 measurable kickers. But his palmated main left side.
How do I get pics sent to me via text off my phone onto here? A buddy of mine took pics with his phone and & sent them to me. My camera sucked, too dark, too fuzzy.

If your using the app on your phone hit the little circle with the plus sign in the middle then there should be a little square with mountain hit that then you should be able to choose your photos if that doesn’t work you can send them to me and I’ll post them.

I'm off for a week after tomorrow. Hopefully see a few more deer. I did buy a new bow though. Not sure why I need 4, but always good to have them...lol.

ok boys, my deer scored 140 4/8th. that is about what I figured it would be. The broken tine he said really cost some points.

So now how do I go about taking pics off my phone & getting them posted here?

so I noticed that the scores had the each tine scored out. So is that something I have to have done? my buddy scored it so I'd have to ask him to do it again and send it to me.

In da woods, you will need to show the scoring info detailed out on the deer check in thread. That’s one helluva buck. Headed out now to be In stand for 530 for the 1st am sit of season. No action at all last pm.

This weather here sucks! EHD is killing a lot of deer as well. On a side note, I get a new string ordered for the new bow. I got the Hoyt Pro Defiant.

Tonight got to get out with the wife. The kids told us we need to get a buck. I’ve been itching to pull the trigger for them since they couldn’t be more excited and I don’t want to not come trough then. Especially with cams and sightings worthless how they’ve been wasn’t gonna worry about holding out. Had a spike come out to 20 yards. Hit a little back on quartering away. Made it about 70 yards. How he was laying when I found him gave a follow up shot that ended up unnecessary. Got the kids out to track and get him out and made a great family time. My older insisted on watching some cleaning and wanted to dig in to help more than anything. That guy is hooked. I wouldn’t have changed the night at all. Some more points and a nice pile of meat.

Have to also add this edges out my biggest bow kill by several inches. I blow all my chances at big ones so I can celebrate each year raising the bar tiny steps at a time...

Nice deer boys!!! Congrats to all of you. And hank, yes your a great addition to the team.

Up here north of the border, the weather has sucked. Super warm, yet to even have our first Frost. Last couple days have been like 60mph winds..... Today and tomorrow will be much of the same.

Not concerned though things don't normally heat up for me over here until about Halloween. And right into late season.

Stay safe boys and let's get those points on the board.

Way to go! Went out this morning and had a deer standing where I park my truck and that was the only one seen. No turkeys either! :(

First evening hunt for this stand. Have a couple mature bucks showing up regularly on camera. Nothing huge but old enough to be shooters. [IMG][IMG]

Nice job Turro! Sounds like great family time... my cams are looking a bit dry. the big boys showing here and there, but middle of night... hardly any daylight activity...
I did see 6 does Sat AM.. 2 bigger does and 4 little ones... I waited to see if the 8 would show up, but still no showing. He's there.. but always after dark...
crappy weather here too... super warm and windy yesterday AM. saw 2 skippers.. that was it. rained last pm... raining hard this am. I'll try to make it out this afternoon if the rain breaks.
