I was thinking the same. Curious to see if they keep dropping and scores get high or levels off or what. Some awesome deer for sure

Planning to go Saturday morning. I work Friday night until 3am, just enough time for a quick nap, a shower and then hit the woods. Probably will hunt until 9 or 10 before heading to bed. I have be at work 3:30 Saturday afternoon.

sorry for the kill shot boys, didn't see what I sent Ferg. I do have pics back at the truck with my bow, and 2 different position pics. Not too bad for an alternate boys?
So quick story, I've been after him for about 4 yrs, seen 3 xs. Last week I was hunting a fence line on a bean field and heard a grunt @ 6:20 pm. I grunted and nothing. I heard him walk down into a ravine the opposite direction. So this past week I put a new stand up in that ravine. What I found in there is what blew me away. There were several trees (3" dia) with rubs about 10" long near a bunch of oaks with tons of acorns on the ground. So I knew where he was bedding and where he was eating and his territory.
So buddy of mine turns me onto this app called Hunt Stand. (awesome app) So this app has a wind checker built in that predicts wind direction by the hour. I needed an E/NE wind to be in my face. All day the winds were S/SW EXCEPT it was predicted to change at 6pm.
So I get to the stand about 6:05 with the E wind in my face. 2 min later a doe crossed about 50 yrds in the creek bottom to my right. At 6:20 this boy walks in about 15' towards me off the deer trail out of his bedding area. Bummer is I have no lanes trimmed for close shots. So I get to full draw and watch him walk 10' from my stand, not even aware I"m standing at full draw beaded down on him. He turns slightly away from me and stops with his head down. This gives me about a 12" window to shoot through twigs, saplings, brush just below my stand. I take aim just behind the leg about 1/2 way up knowing the trajectory of the arrow needs to go into the boiler. Whap! right in the middle of the torso just behind the front leg. The bummer was the dam Noctural nock blinked twice and shut off. Nor was it on when I found him. Gonna send those back to get my money back.
Had to do it the old fashioned way. Back out for 2 hrs, went back to my stand, traced blood spots for about 75 yrds and found in at the creek bottom over on the neighbor's property, arrow still in him as you can see. I am very impressed with the NAP kill zone; fileted his heart in 2 sections. I took a pic of that also. I'll try to get it scored and pics posted properly tomorrow. The only thing is that I have to work tomorrow at noon.
So that is the end of my story and my bow season. Thanks, for reading. Hopefully it'll score decent to get us up on the board. Next stop is 50 pts for a doe.
Good luck to everyone still hunting.

Congrats on an awesome buck for sure. Sounded like a great hunt and smart plan paying off huge. That’s another nice one for the scorecard. Hopefully points can keep adding up

Way to go Hankster! He is a dandy! I think this is a good sign that we are going to be the ones to beat again. Keep them dropping so that we can REPEAT for the first team ever to do it. Congrats to all that have scored so far and I can not wait to put some points on the board.
