Sorry for the delay guys. All the pics were taken on Todd's cam so I'm waiting to get them. He's my best buck for sure. Justin scored him quick and he's in the mid 160's.

He'll be on the upcoming episode this Friday on BHOD, but I should have pics to share tomorrow. For those of you with Facebook we did a live session on the bowhunting.com page as we recovered him, so you can see him there for now.

Thanks guys, really happy to have been able to share this one with everyone and very happy to have had a good ending to the story. Heading to bed now, it was a long night with no sleep last night........

Nice buck Rick! I'll be hunting mostly Sunday evening only with an occasional Saturday morning hunt until around Halloween. On vacation Oct 29 - Nov 4. Should get something that week.

Thanks guys! Still have a buck tag for IL and one for KS in my pocket. Will be chasing does for the next few weeks as well unless the other IL buck I'm after starts making mistakes early. Good luck to all of you, we're on a roll again and can hopefully pull this thing off again!

Congrats Rick! that is a real nice buck! way to put us on the board.

So guys looks promising where I'm hunting on one of the parcels. there is set of rubs that have been showing up in the same spot for the past 5 yrs. AND there are a set of rubs now down in the creek bottom where I hunt. He's hitting 3" trees with rubs about 12"-16" in length. I believe he's bedded up on a grassy spot near my stand. I just moved a stand into the location about 30 yrds from the trail and I can see the series of rubs in the creek bottom from the stand. Bummer is if I hunt the wind, it has to be a S/SW wind to keep my scent out of the bedding area and the trail. So tomorrow afternoon is my best shot. The winds will be S/SW by 2pm. So I'll be out there. If this buck is the 10 ptr I saw last year we may be looking at a buck like Ricks. fingers crossed.

saw 2 doe fawns... and a spike horn... then the small bear came in again.
