Awesome deer Berwick. Definitely love to see you get one of them.
Found out yesterday I got drawn for one of the city hunts I applied for. Can shoot one buck and 4 antler less or all antler less. I plan on getting a cam or two up if I can to see first. Otherwise just gonna hit some decent used trails and taking what I can. Not gonna be picky, but should produce some points and meat

Turro, that sounds cool. I've always wanted to go on one of those city slay missions... fill the freezer!

Gonna be offline until Monday guys... have a great weekend and holiday for those of you with Monday off.
Bear season opens here Tuesday. Gonna go film some buddies killing some and try to get my 12 year old daughter her first.

Nice bucks and Good luck with the Bears western. I was hoping to get my wife her first this year since she got drawn for one, then we remembered two days late to buy her tag so lost her chance. Maybe better to focus the time we can come up with for deer, especially with being able to shoot more.
I got out and checked some public land cams today

Had this guy. Not a monster but I'd be very happy with him, especially on public land. A basket 8 and a few spikes and does and fawns. I think that area will be good potential when the Bucks start chasing again. Last year had some nice pics and blew a chance at a nice one. Hoping to scout for the town hunt Tuesday and set some cams there. First time there so should be interesting. Got some spots to check from some buddy's that did good there.

Good luck on the bears. I'm itching to hunt. October 1 can't come soon enough. Normally this weekend is the bear opener but we really opened our spring bear hunt this year. And rule is if you take a spring bear you can't go again in fall. Now I'm regretting taking that bear because I would be out hunting right now. But I can't complain it was a 450lb spring bear which is easily 600+ come fall. IMG-20160525-WA0018.jpg IMG-20160525-WA0018.jpg IMG-20160525-WA0020.jpg TACH]

Congrats to your buddy. Looks good.
Checked cams this morning and had handful of random smaller bucks and the big one came through two nights. Better pull then last time but nothing too exciting. Scouted and put 4 cams with a buddy for the town hunt. Great sign and trails. Really curious to check them right before opener. Gonna be interesting in those spots. Different feeling hunting that near things

Nice bear, especially with bow. I hunt all canadian big game with bow. I really only use rifles for competition long range shooting and coyote/wolves. But bears are always a tough decision. I have spooked so many bears. Any mature bear is so hard to draw on its almost impossible. They detect the slightest movement. Much better then deer. Deer live on the ground. Food, predators etc all on the ground. Bears are always looking up. I've killed some smaller ones with a bow. And have spooked many monsters while drawing. All my trophy bears were taken with ole faithful 12 Guage.

Took my daughter last night.. we had a good one come in, but never offered her a good shot.
Unfortunately, she is with her mother the next couple of nights. I will try to get her out again Friday or Sat afternoon.

Heading out to smack some geese out of the sky! Hope I get my first band this year. Then come the first of October I will be ready to find me a wall hanger again! This year I am hoping is the year I have been waiting for for a while. We will see and saying my prayers for us all. Be safe and have the year of a lifetime.

Hey y'all I broke down and got a camera. It's out now my first pull won't be until the season opens though. Like I said I have no idea what's out there so it should be fun.
