been away for a few days. Had surgery. finally back to work today after the blizzard yesterday. Got almost 2' of snow... it was just starting to feel like spring too.

 

looking at this new forum set up... i'm assuming we need to attach pics via URL links? Is that like photobucket, etc?

 

Hope surgery went well Western. Saw the snow hitting you guys. Hopefully doesn't last. Finally getting down here and starting to feel like spring too. Probably one of my favorite feeling times of the year.
Not sure what to say about posting pics. I use Tapatalk for it and looks like can just post pics from it still, same as I always did. Someday I'll have to try it from a computer just to see what it looks like

went well... very sore... hernia... not in the best spot. I'll be out of the gym for a few weeks... can't do much.. feel useless. Couldn't even help the wife w/ the blizzard snow... we got hammered.
hope that the snow goes quick. Our turkey season is late. It doesn't start until April 24 here. ugh...

 

That sucks. I'm glad I haven't had any hernia issues but had a few friends with surgeries and doesn't seem pleasant. Seems like a few I saw last few years went lots smoother than ones I saw a ways back. Nothing worse than not being able to do things especially when stuff hits like that. Hopefully good and healing for turkey season. I'm hoping in the next few weeks to get some stuff done in the woods and start thinking plot work. Definitely want to get a little better set than last year. A buddy found an awesome dead head real close to where we went a few hunts last year. Looks like it was from season before though. Some nice bucks around there. Have to try and get there a few times this year too and run some cams.

Healing up ok... feeling much better yesterday and today... and finally comfortable to sleep.
I will be back in action for spring turkey for sure. Hope to get back in the gym by next weekend maybe... lightly...

I wish I had property to do plots on... no such luck here. Every year is a crap shoot. I have a few small pieces of private land to hunt that I run cameras on each year and hunt where the bigger bucks are showing... a 100" buck is a good one for here! Anything bigger is a freak!
I just have to make do with what I have.
Turkey hunting is pretty good out here.. and bears... if you ever interested!

Top skull is fake. no teeth like the 2 real ones on top, however it still looks good to me. A bit on the smaller side.

 

Still nothing here on shirts etc!

I put the trail cams back out and I still have yet to find a shed this year. DNR shot up one of my spots so will be interesting to see how it will affect my hunting season this year.

 

Getting ready for this year...one field done. Just about 5 more to go.

Well guys, my 2017 season will have three chapters. Making my property behind the house better, two separate long weekend hunts in Kansas on public land, and a killer brand new lease I got lucky to pick up.

I'm filming everything again this year, so I'll be able to share the season as things progress for me.

Last weekend as many of you know, I spent 4 days in Kansas with JZ scouting and turkey hunting. While I came back with both of my turkey tags, we were able to find some really good stuff to hunt this fall and I'm really looking forward to that trip.

 

Awesome Rick...i'd be lying if I didn't say I was jealous! Can't wait to someday hunt the Midwest!

 

I messaged Fitz about the bowhunting prize package seeing as though no one has rec'd anything... not that it really matters... lol
I hope everyone is doing well and wish you all luck on a safe and successful spring turkey season. We don't start for another couple of weeks here
