I'm skipping out on Thanksgiving this year and going back out to SD to try and fill that tag tomorrow night.

Well, the way my hunting year has been going the first picture is how I have felt since October 1st. Then here is my buck that I took Sunday with my shotgun. I did not see the start of the fork on his G-2 and I probably would of let him walk if I did. I am happy with him and thankful that I am finally able to get on the board with him being my first deer of the year.

    Great buck Dawg! Congrats!
I was able to take a small doe yesterday. I wasn't able to get any pics as my phone died in the cold weather. I will see what I can do today.

Good luck to all of those who get out over the Holiday. I can't get out today or tomorrow (Thanksgiving) and will be away for my daughter's hockey tournament over the weekend. Reg Bow season ends this Sat... so I think i'm done for the season.

Congrats Dawg. Nice buck for sure. Glad you could get one whatever way you could. If I woulda had any chance in my few rifle hours I wouldn't have hesitated either.
Congrats on the doe Western. Hope the pics work out of course but either way glad you got one, you've earned it.
I haven't been out. Had a cold with my kids so coughing and stuff. Hoping for a few spots to pick up soon for late season so still pretty optimistic for another. Checked cams in town and things there just haven't been good. More people than deer even with lots of the drawn legit hunters being done. Hopefully the snow sheds some light on heavier used trails and clears out lots of the warm weather hunters. I think some of the nice snowy sits can be most enjoyable

I been working a ton since my vacation and haven't had a lot of time to hunt. Planning to take my rifle out in the morning and try to put another doe in the freezer. I'll be on vacation again December 4-10. Hopefully I can put a buck on the board. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Nice buck Dawgs. And well done on the doe.

I'll be away in South Dakota next week. But plan to hunt next weekend. I might get in there this weekend but not too anxious as there in lock down now for sure. Usually come December things start to move again. I'll get a couple does late season. I always do..... famous last words.

Happy thanksgiving to you guys and your families. Hope it's a good one. We raised some turkeys this year so gonna smoke a chunk of one up, none were small enough to come close to fitting my smoker.

Well, went out this morning and had a small 4 point at 20 yards and he got the FREE pass! I did check my trail cams and my big 10 came by on the 14th and the 22nd which means he made it through first firearm season. I just hope he makes that mistake showing his face when I can shoot my bow. I will be out in the morning again tomorrow then both morn and eve on saturday and sunday.

    Happy Thanksgiving guys!

Things are awful slow on the cameras right now around here according to my cams and all of my buddies too. I think the rut is mostly done now, we are going to need a solid bitter cold front to really get deer moving again and headed to food sources.

Good luck to those of you still after it!

SD has been bust! No recent pictures and only seen one half decent buck last night that I passed on.

Andrew hopefully one of them can get in range. 48 hunts I'd say you're due a great one
Wake you've got some big ones around, looking forward to one of them coming by.
Congrats Dawg. It's a kill. Some tasty meat and more points, never anything wrong with that.
