Just checked the scorecard, looks like we are in second place. Let's keep it up.

Frustration is setting in. I normally have a doe down and have passed on a few young bucks by now. I have yet to even see a deer. Maybe let it sit for another week. Perhaps chase some ducks tomorrow instead.

My granddaughter missed a big doe at last light yesterday. I did my best to calm her pre-shot, pretty sure she got buck fever.

Next weekend I'll be in a tree for sure. Then Monday I head down to Texas for white tail. There for a full week. Then a second week, but for work and no hunting. So hopefully I can nail one there. Then when I get home I'll probably wait for the second rut. But up here late December can be the best time to hunt. We normally have a ton of snow by then. Bucks are hungry after the Rut and will hit bait stands.

    Good luck boys

Heavy frost here this am.. 25' on the truck thermostat driving to work this am. Saw 2 bears out in a cut cornfield feeding this am... very strange to see with all of the frost and cold weather.
I'm hoping to make it out the next 2-3 nights and Sat AM. It's gonna get up to 50 today, but the cold nights and the fact that it's November mean we need to be in a tree!

Actually, we are in second place. I forgot to put date and time on my doe entry, Fitz didn't count it yet.

I really like our chances on this thing.........

A couple more decent bucks and some does (or 50 pt bucks) can really open this thing up.. Good luck guys.. I plan on adding another 50 regardless (buck or doe)!

Hey guys haven't been out much, just trying to get my boy a shot at one. I'm leaving for SD on Saturday for 9 days hope to drop a big boy while I'm there. Weather is not looking great but it wasn't great last year and there was a lot of activity.

went out last night.. had a small buck come by out of range yesterday at 4:40pm... I think he may have gotten a bit of my wind... looked like a little fork horn or something.. not sure... wind was swirling. My camera malfunctioned, so no pics from that stand. I'm going to try to hunt tonight and Sat AM.
Just got a text pic from my Covert cam with a little spike under one of my other stands as we speak. kindof a funny pic!

That is what I was thinking Andrew! Lots of fatties being shot around here this year... very mild winter. I am actually going to go sit that stand for the first time this season tonight.. I have had a couple good bucks on cam and a few small ones there... all within the last week. Not being picky tonight... if it has bone it's going down tonight... just in one of those moods! LOL

How you like the texting style cameras ? I have been eyeballing these for a while now.

Chago, I have 3 of the 15' covert black ops that I really like then I just picked up 2 more black mp12s they send all your photos to an app which is really nice and you can adjust settings from the app but they burn through batteries. The 15 you can't adjust remotely but are not half as bad on the batteries.

I like it... seems it only sends some of the pics though... when I check the SD card in the camera there are always way more pics than I ever saw on my phone...
But it is nice to be able to have a camera a long drive away that is not very convenient to check frequently.

It's a nice calm morning in the Ozarks. Can't believe I was able to get out this morning after staying up late to watch the Cubs. Wow, what a game. Now if I can just kill a P&Y.
