We had a cool front move in. It is supposed to be below freezing in the morning. I won't be able to get out until Sunday afternoon. Hopefully I can put some points on the board.

been slow here. Had a nice big lone doe come by Sunday PM, but wouldn't come in close enough for a shot.
headed back to an old spot in NY this afternoon for the first time in 4 seasons.

Cold front coming in tonight after the rain and I finally have legitimate shooter on camera. Wind will be perfect out of the North tomorrow morning. Hope he decides to come freshen his scrapes in the morning. [IMG][IMG]

So far this year has been BAD! Fighting a nasty sinus infection with a nasty cough for now 6 weeks. I am going back to the doctor on Monday since they can not get me in until then. My sinus issues have settled in my ear now and I can not hear a dang thing out of my left ear. I have been to the doctor 7 times in 2 weeks already. I have two cracked ribs from coughing and finally made it out to the stand on the 17th for the first time with a mild cough. I had a small nice young 9 pointer come in and stay around me for about an hour. On the 18th I had a 3 pointer and button buck come in but they kept looking back so the wait was on and nothing else came out. For my last 4 hunts I have not seen a single deer. This is starting to be a very frustrating year. I have only gotten a picture of a nice 8 pointer but the rest are does and the two bucks that I passed on. I will wait on a nice buck and a doe. The one picture I got off the trail cam is really cool since the young 9 pointer is in front of my camera and I am in my tree stand. Then a VERY NICE Black Deer went by my camera and I wish I was in the stand. That would of been a #FillTheFreezer shot! HE HE HE

I didn't realize you boys still had this one going. Sitting in a blind myself and figured I'd drop a note in the old team 3 thread. Sure enough. I've been missing the party.

Well finally got a doe down yesterday. Seasons been really bad for me so far. Not so much the animal movement. Just lack of getting out. I too got a nasty illness and was MIA for about 10 days. Then work travel has been through the roof. Like these people never care that it's hunting season lol. But hunting hard this week. Let's see what turns up.

Just checking in too. Passed early on on doe and spike but decided i wanted next one that came in so worked out sticking a fat doe Tuesday. Had picked up a roadkill like two weeks ago and cleaned up and brought in and picked up pile of sticks, polish, and sausage today. Always makes it worthwhile to not waste one. Sitting as a family for rifle opener Saturday. Kids are so stoked. They were nuts about getting a deer again they’ll explode getting to see a rifle shot hopefully.
Good luck to you guys. Just keep it a little behind us in the standings :)

It's been dead here. If you remember I was chasing a big 11 point for several years. He was a 10 4 seasons ago, a freak 13 3 seasons ago, and a nice 11 last year and this year. I have never had a daylight picture of him... until last Sunday at 4:45-5 PM.. And we can't hunt Sunday's in MA!!!! Ugh.. fml.
he's been around middle of the night ever other night since... so fingers crossed.
I have shot 2 does so far. No buck sightings at all.
Leaving for Ohio tomorrow AM and finishing up ride Sat am. Hunting Sat PM - Thurs. Rumor has it that it is cranking out there now!

I am with you on that Western! Killed two slick heads and no bucks except for a small few. Need things to change fast.

Been pretty busy and some sickness to keep hunting pretty limited here too. Got a doe before rifle started and hoping to get out and have some bucks around somewhere before done this year.

Happy thanksgiving to you guys as well. Hope everyone had a good holiday
