Saw 4 Sunday. I was ready to shoot a big yearling when they looked to the North and trotted off. Those stupid dogs fouled up my hunt for the second time.
I'm friends with dawg and Mark on FB. I think we need to stay in touch. Feel free to friend request me. We've been together for three seasons. I think of you all as brothers and friends.

Looks like the weather will be perfect Sunday. Hopefully too cold for those dogs to run free. There owner should keep them in the house.[IMG]

I just got bad news. Not only am working without getting paid, I have to work Sunday too. Going to try to get someone to cover for me Saturday so I can have one day off.

I’m on Facebook too, have Dawg already. I usually don’t post much for hunts but tons of kids stuff. Art Peterson

Hey boys. Sorry been Mia again. I keep going radio silence with the new baby and work being crazy. I'm actually glad I took my deer so early because by the looks of it I wouldn't have hunted at all after early season.

Looks like we're going to come up short this year. But hey 2 year champs was awesome. And I'm almost positive we set a record last year for highest team score ever. So that will go down in the books. And I'm sure whoever wins this year will be talking about being like team 3 and holding the throne for 2 years.

I'm not sure if it's possible to create our own thread in one of the other forums. But it would be good to keep one going. Hunting with you all for 3 seasons has been a blast. We have had members deal with death, Injuries, new children, new grand children, kids and grand kids first kills, loss and gain of property. Boys it's been a blast. Let's stay in touch.

Ps I say we petition to have our team reunited next year and do a champions head to head tourney lol.

I speak for my team and we want you to stay together.... you were the ones to beat and a title means nothing if you don't earn it. Great year guys

Thank you Fix! You guys had a great season, we just came up a little short. Hopefully the administrators will give us the opportunity to stay together. If we would have finished middle of the pack, no, but we finished second.

Well the fat lady sings tonight. Will be headed out shortly, he’s been in my bean plot a few times during last light over the last week but I haven’t had the right wind. Looks like tonight I’ll finally have it!

Good luck. Go get him. We're having a bit of a cold snap today. Literally -43 celcius feels like -51 with windchill .that's -58 farenheit boys.

Well, my season is officially OVER! I ended up with 4 total deer this year 2 with bow and 2 with shotgun. I want to say a few things: I have been honored to be with you all for the past three years. I hope they allow us to have one more run at the title next year. You all have been great teammates and as I can say FRIENDS. Hope that you all have plenty of success in the future. Thanks for being a GREAT CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM. We have been the target and ones to watch!

Also, I know this has nothing to deal with hunting but I would like to ask you all if you are able to donate to my Super Plunge for Special Olympics that would help me reach my goal. I have to plunge in Lake Michigan 24 times in 24 hours (Once Every Hour). I need to reach my goal and I must have $1,500 by the plunge that is February 15-16. I have been hitting a wall with getting more donations so even if it is $5 or $10 it helps me out. Any donation is welcome. Here is a direct link to my fundraising page if any of you are interested and thank you:

Good luck out there Rick. Would be an awesome way to end the season and you’ve earned it. Hoping to see it work out.

Chago think you’ve got us beat. Think we only got -30 today. Tomorrow warms up to 11, probably gonna have to turn the AC on with that heat wave.

Doesn’t count for here but at least added a second deer to the freezer today. Friend saw a fresh one hit so called it in and grabbed it. Nice doe. Not bad on damage either, slower speed, and flash frozen in these temps. Probably got 40-50# off her. Pretty pumped for that. Woulda loved to have gotten two from season but can’t complain.

I was off yesterday but didn't hunt. Winds were up 20mph with windchill around -15°. Working today temperatures in the 40s with no wind. My season lasts until the end of February so I'll get a few more sets in. Too bad we couldn't threepeat.

I am happy for him! He is a great guy and helped me drag my buck last year out of woods!
