    That's awesome RB!!!

I can't wait to get all my stuff back. All of Africa, my elk, 2 bucks. I will have the bucks in January he promised to rush this year's buck so I can have the two together. Africa will be arriving in may. And elk next summer. It's gonna be awesome. But my line of credit is not gonna appreciate the bill lol. I'll be paying that all off for years lmao .

Bad news guys. After getting 25 minutes of great footage of him, I missed Half Rack clean tonight.

Not only did I miss him, but he also stepped out of the camera frame right before I shot. I’m sure it will probably be on the show at some point this week or next, but here is a quick still pic from the video.

damn, that sux Rick! well if you didn't educate him, you might be ok. but chances getting the opportunity to shoot something like is pretty rare. but you've got his area known so hopefully you'll get a second chance at it. keep on tryin.
might get lucky and get another shot.

Thanks guys. It's a bitter pill to swallow for sure, but I've got over a month left in season. Hopefully I'll get another crack at him before the fat lady sings.

    Rick,
I still dream of the big boy I missed a couple of weeks ago. I haven't given up on him though. 2 weeks left. I am going to check that camera at lunch today.
I am bringing my daughter out this afternoon and hopefully Friday afternoon as well. There is a nice 8 that has been around quite a bit... fingers crossed.

Sitting in my blind. Wind is the best for that blind. It's at the edge of a woodline where I cut a path thru so they can go from 1 field 2 another where the standing corn is. Really need to move one of my stands for a nw wind to hunt a creek bottom. Sunny 36 ° nw winds @ 10 mph.

not a damn thing again! man this is getting old. 5 times out and not a deer seen or heard. I think because of gun season x2, they've gone nocturnal. I'll have to try some morning hunts and try to catch them bedding down. it's not looking good though not seeing anything move.

Right now Hank it’s hard to tell where they are. There is a preferred food source somewhere nearby that they are hitting, if you have trail cams get them out right now and figure out what they’re eating and then make your move.

just check a cam... oh my... yesterday afternoon an 8 pt and a small buck at 4:30pm. Over night the freak I missed was there along w/ the 8 from earlier and a half rack 8. The freak was there 7:30 am today along w/ a decent 8.
I am getting sick but headed out for the afternoon.
supposed to rain starting at 7pm. SW wind is not ideal for this stand, but it's only 2-3mph at the moment. I will shower up and get in there for the last couple hours. Fingers crossed.

Season ends last day in Sept. next 2 days supposed to be washout. No hunting Sundays in MA. Monday Xmas Eve and Tues Xmas are going to limit me for the rest of the season. Plus, I want to take my daughter when she can.

God I hope the big boy gives me another chance tonight.
