How are we doing on points guys? I just looked at the score card thread, and it looks like teams 23, 25, and 27 are all slightly ahead of us.

Do we have all of our deer entered and scored?

A quick update for all of you. I've hunted my tail off this year. Over 90 hours in just November. Tons of good deer and they were making mistakes but I just wasn't able to capitalize on them.

My best buck this year is still alive as of this morning. Yesterday was the last day of the IL 2nd shotgun season, so I should be in the clear for the next few weeks with the neighbors. He's been making some daylight mistakes the last week that he wasn't making before that, and I'm hoping to get back after him this week. We have some good cold weather coming and I've got great food for him right near his core area, so I'm excited to start getting back after him.

    Good luck Rick!
1 more good buck and another doe or 2 should put us back up on top.

man, that sucked. not a damn thing come thru. It rained here for 3 days straight and now both fields are flooded where I hunt. at least it's not in the standing corn. Gonna go Wed afternoon & hopefully take a look for sign in the snow of where they are at. I can only hunt Wed and then a 4 day doe-only gun season opens up on thur to Sun. So that is gonna put them back on edge. I wish something would come by tomorrow so we can get some points on the board.

RJ, put that boy down. I think he'd put us on top.

I still have my buck on target too. I have not been out but the neighbor said deer are not moving. Do I trust his statements- a little but there is a buck that both of us want. I will be out this Friday afternoon then saturday and sunday both morning and afternoon. I still have time but need to score fast. I am limited to weekend hunting now and I have a florida trip from December 13th to 21st. I will be out hunting up to christmas day after that too

ok boys. where to go today. weather conditions: 29 degrees, cloudy, wind 6mph WNW, no snow on the ground but a dusting.
    1. I have standing corn near a stand and a blind set up in a cross-thru that leads from one field to where the corn is in the other field. Problem is that I have standing water 2" near the cross thru that I posted yesterday. stand has wind at the my R shoulder blowing into the woods. blind has wind in my face.

    2. I have stand

Instinct thought is for blind, unless pics or history really push otherwise.

Well decided on stand by standing corn. On the inside of corn by me is quite a bit of deer scat. Wind is in my face. Fingers crossed. Let's get some points!

Well boys couldn't believe that I saw NOTHING! not even a branch break, or see them at a distance, or silhouettes, nothing. what the heck?? perfectly good corn standing there. I've seen the sign, tracks, scat, corn eaten of the stalk and not a damn one of them came by tonight. To at least see or hear something. bummer is that Thur-Sun is doe-only gun season. so that'll have them on the alert for a few days afterwards. I can't hunt till Monday. So we'll pray for something to happen them. the only thing I 'm hoping is that the neighbors don't gun hunt this round and give them some peace for me to whack one on Monday!

I've had a great season so far, but only one with a bow. Trying to use my last doe tag with my bow.

we are so dang close on points. We could really use RJ to whack that big boy and a couple of does to clinch it. Supposed to be warming up next week for us, in the lower 40s, but dry. I'll be out on Mon-thur next week.
Good luck to anyone still out there.
Dawg- get that deal struck before you go on vacation!

I’m gonna try and get out tonight. My dads neighbor got a good one last night. My buddy shot over a big boy’s back. Said he had a hot doe by him the bucks we’re going nuts over. He seen 2 other shooters last night too!
