Was hoping to get out this afternoon but I’m at urgent care with the wife. She hurt her back bad this weekend at a crossfit come she was in. Ugh. How dare she get injured during the rut!?!? Haha. I wouldn’t dare say that to her though.

Rifle season started here Saturday. Although early last week was little irritated hearing what I’m guessing was some starting early as usual... checked cams today with my older son to get out and see what’s been around. Glad I got the buck I got and didn’t hold out. The other one hasn’t been around in a few weeks. Spikes and baldies. Really want to have wife put her first one down, and kids are more than obsessed, so trying to have a family sit before dark. Could be a challenge with two excited kids but having her get her first with them with would be great. And honestly gotta say nice not stressing since got mine early but really sucks not hunting. It’ll be fun even spectating

Been slow in SD seen one good buck this AM he was chasing across opening made it half way to me stopped and turned around. She bedded down wind of my tree about 30yds away.

Nice one Ill! I took Friday off from work so now to get the wife or daughter to work from home. LOL I wish I had a job that I could work from home BUT retirement is in 4 years 11 months not that I am counting. Watching inmates from home is not a possibility I guess. LOL

Well, I got out. Got in stand around 3:15. The 6 point I missed a couple of weeks ago was under this stand at 2 -2:30 pm.
Didn’t see a deer. Ugh.

I can't hunt this week at all. I'm hoping to get comp tym next Mon. that will give me 3-4 full days of bowhunting. deer are still moving around. just need a east wind to hunt my favorite stand. Hopefully I'll be over my

 

sinus infection and continuous cough

 

Hope you get another shot western. Hopefully means still meant for a bigger one, but always nice to get back after one again

I just got Friday off and I have the daughter lined up to work from home so that she can take the grand baby to school and pick her up. That means I will be in the stand Friday AM and PM then Saturday the wife wanted to do something so we are going to run up to New Glarus Brewery. So no hunting Saturday but will then be out Sunday in the AM and PM. Have to give the wife some time otherwise she will be cranky all deer season. LOL

 

SNOW predicted here in wi Thur into Fri morning! about 1" accumulation. that'll get em going this weekend.

bummer is that I'm working. can't hunt till maybe mon late morning. gonna try to sit out all day.

 

Rifle season starts this weekend and the following weekend season opens in Oklahoma. My nonresident license cost me $300 so I probably wouldn't do any bow hunting until after Dec 2. Just don't give up on me. Hopefully I can get us some points earlier than the last day of the contest this year.

Well, I didn’t take my bow last night, but I had just as much fun. I took a kid out that had never killed a buck, and got him one. Not the biggest deer, but he was so excited. He’s hooked now.
