reports from buddies here in wisconsin; they are really starting to turn it on. bucks starting to chase, scrapes/rubs, sparring hard core.
man I'm getting excited. I plan on going out this weekend??? but M-Wed for sure. man, I can't wait. Hopefully get lucky and pop at least a doe.

 

I'll be after it this weekend pretty hard. Lots of good deer cruising at night that I'm getting on wireless cams, and just today had a good one behind my house as well mid morning. Good luck to those of you out there!

Hope to get out friday afternoon and Sat. am.. jeesh... my weekends are as hectic as my work weeks!

 

I'll be hunting for the first time in a long time on Halloween tonight. Then Thursday night my son and I will go out and I leave for SD on Friday night after work for 9 days.

 

Looking at these pics........ boys I smell a 3peat!!!!

 

I will be out Thursday to Sunday on the morning and afternoon hunts. Hope to stick a big boy then. I have not gotten any big ones on the camera yet since I am just a pass through I am hoping that something comes in soon.

 

I've seen 4 so far this morning. A yearling and a shooter buck. Couldn't get a clean shot at him. About 15 minutes later saw a buck chasing a doe through the woods. They made a big circle and she came in range. I heard the buck coming behind her so I gave her a pass. I was hoping to see that shooter on her trail. Turned out to be a spindly little six point. Hunting until about noon. I'll be out again in the morning.

Seen a few skin heads last night. Back out tonight for last sit in MN before I leave for SD.

 

Didn't go this morning. It was 44 and raining. I don't being cold or wet but I don't like being cold and wet.

CRAP just spotted two bucks one shooter and one small. I used bleat can and grunt no luck! So I figured since they at 250 yards I would try snort wheeze just by use of my mouth! The shooter started running straight at me but then veared off to the south of me by 60 yards! What a rush that was. I was going to duck hunt this afternoon but think I might bring my horns back this afternoon!

 

no luck yesterday afternoon. It was in the 60s. low 50s this am and rain all day and night. I'm gonna try for a morning sit tomorrow before the heavy rain and wind comes.
This weather is getting old... it has been rainy or very windy almost every day of season this year. Almost every sit would be impossible to hear a deer walking... it's been crazy. Almost depressing weather. Rain in the forecast today and tomorrow. Then sunday nice (can't hunt in Mass on Sunday, but can in NY) and then rain all day monday (which I took off).
Late next week finally looks decent.

Don't forget to change clocks back Sat PM>

Had a fergie buck at 10-12 yards broadside. Just not what I'm wanting just yet. If only he was a couple years older and a 100" bigger.

Back at it. The other day the shooter was by the cedar tree on the other side of the clearing at about 40 yes. I need to cut the top of a wild cherry. Forgot my pole saw. Youth rifle hunt in the morning. Hopefully my granddaughter can put one down. I'll have at least one more archery hunt Sunday morning before I head back to work. Them I'm back to hunt Sundays only until after Christmas.
