That is because there is a booner that wants you to stick him Western! I am waiting for my shot and wish it would come fast. I have the week of October 27th to November 4th off so I will be doing a bunch of hunting. I am ready to draw blood with the new bow.

 

Very frustrated. Prob won't get out until Friday again now... then Sat AM... maybe sunday... of course my buddy's wife is having his surprise 40th bday party Sat PM... He'll hunt and come home from hunting and we'll all be there... and not in the woods... ugh.

 

I hate when people host events in October or November. Don't you know I want every minute of every weekend in the bush. So inconsiderate lol

 

My wife asked if I wanted to go to some friends house Sunday for Pumpkin carving and dinner. I told her “I don’t know I’ll look at the weather”.

He Pheasant hunts and has 20 acres he lets me bow hunt on. Oh and they’re my sons god parents. Still not sure that I’m going.

Gatherings during fall should be very flexible and non mandatory. Like plan at your own risk of no shows. Weddings, birthdays, overall group events, it’s asking for a bunch of unhappy hunters together

First SE wind in recent weeks usually wait until after the 20th of Oct to go to this spot with this wind. Hoping to see that double split G3 buck. Had him on camera the other night real close to this spot.

I’m sick of watching the Crazy Canadian have all the fun!

Hey boys. Another 50 points on the board. Sorry it took me so long to post, it was a $hit show. The Buck came in with a really heavy limp. when I got a good look it looks like he had a wound in his rear leg. It was so bad he could hardly walk. So I put an arrow in him. go figure this deer who can hardly walk after getting an arrow walks right into the lake. Guess who had to go swimming to get him out. He was actually a really nice buck considering he was only a two and a half year old. a real waste but unfortunately he was wounded and I thought it was the best thing to do.

 

Congrats yet again Chago. Even the deer you put down to end suffering are great bucks. Way nice one for 2 1/2 for sure. Awesome to see the bonus points and always love nice bucks.

I get 4 tags a year. I always try to take 2 meat deer. And trophy hunt the third tag. The fourth tag I have almost never filled. It's my.... I don't want to be indoors all December tag.

My daughter took that doe which was awesome. I got my trophy early in season. I now have this buck as the third for the freezer. And now the fourth tag I hold just so I can sit in the woods. And maybe see something ridiculous. That buck had to go. He for sure would have been dead by end of the week. No point in feeding those fuc$&#$ coyotes. The damaged quarter will be fine for my dogs. Rest of the deer is good for the freezer. No sense wasting him.

I'm more concerned by the wound. I know there are no hunters within at least 3 or 4 farms from me. I'm wondering if some assholes were spotlighting at night. It was most definitely a gun wound that went in the ass and out the guts. Gun season has not even opened. So it had to be spotlighters. Locals around here don't hunt. They call the police when they see me in camo. So I know it's not a local.

Headed out this afternoon.. Prob only last hour and half. I'll be out tomorrow afternoon too. Possibly Sat AM depending on rain. Storm coming in for whole weekend and rain until Tuesday. May get out Monday afternoon as well.
Chago's bonus buck is a wall hanger for most guys in my area! haha.

 

Had nice 10 show up on one of my cams in SD last night and this morning...
