That is GREAT Chago! Now for all of us to the same like last year. I passed up this little fella today along with passing a small button buck.

Awesome buck Chago. He’s definitely a beast. Location wise was he from the same general area as last years?

Congrats yet again. Ain't nothing wrong with shooting button bucks ya know

Do you age your bucks at all? Wondering if they could be a set of twins maybe? Hell, maybe the father of the two bred the same doe in consecutive years.

Would be a very interesting story if their was anyway to definitively link them together and how.

Becoming quite the slayer you are. After Africa can't imagine your taxidermy bill this year

I probably should have hunted this morning. Saw over 20 deer on the way home from work but after working yesterday on only a few hours sleep, I was just too tired. I'm in the stand this afternoon at my dad's and my son is in my stand on my neighbor's place. Surely one of us will at least see something.

Ummm taxidermy bill is like a night out with the boys. We don't talk about it.... Never know if she's listening lmao.

Ya I have to believe they are related. There is just too much in common. The points have that same double edge sword shape at the ends. The way the main beam grows out and points come up are the same. The mass in between the points etc. Like too many things in common. I have never had them officially aged but my taxi is pretty damn good. He called last year's buck 6.5 min. I'll be hearing from him tomorrow on this one for sure.

As per the father. I have been reading a lot about the does carrying the gene. I know in Africa at the breeder auctions females sell for more then the males. As apparently the female carries the large antler gene in a lot of antelope specie. I was told this when I was down there. And when o I came home did some research. And apparently the same is true down in Texas where they do a lot of white tail breeding. I hope I never kill there mom. She's a saint lol

Let's face it. I'm just super lucky I have some good genetics out here. Let's hope those two bred enough before I got them.
