    If you didn't bump him he will be close. I've gone to help buddies Recover deer that were shot far back. And they still lay dead in the morning. Wish you the best. Let us know what happens .

    I'm not real picky on the first one of the season. Last year was horrible, I've seen more deer the past two weekends than all of last year.

    Nice job Boot!!!
    NY opened today. No luck this AM. Had a couple under me when it was still dark.
    They have been there a ton in the afternoon. Gonna get some work done here and head back out later. rain rolling in later, so they should be moving. Had a decent 8 show up for a quick pic too!
    Also, just got permission back in small and unimpressive spot I used to hunt in CT. May do a meat hunt there soon as well.

    Pretty uneventful morning. Saw two does, one was well before shooting light, the other I could have killed several times, but she was just a yearling. Ill be back out this evening
