I'm in lower Wisconsin towards Illinois. Wake! Man those are some hosses you got on camera. That drop tine would be the king! Congrats Turro! what great memories you'll have with the kids. Cherish every moment with them. they grow up fast. My youngest used to hunt with me till he went to college. Now life is in the way.
Man you guys are starting to drive me nuts with all the camera pics. I haven't been able to do nothing but clear a 300 yrd path along the corn to my treestand. I didn't move my stand cuz it's like a jungle out there. Way too much brush and too thick. I'll have to wait to move them. Maybe I'll get out tomorrow and set up some cameras. Life is crazy busy with summer closing and all the house chores to do. And I have to admit, 90 degrees does not get the hunting blood flowing. We're finally starting to cool down this weekend. Hi's in the 60s. Couple more weeks and it'll sink in. I got to start practicing this week and get dialed in.
Good luck to everyone starting out there. Glad to here we are already on the points board. That is a fantastic start.

Well boys I finally got one down. Life long dream to take down a elk. Man did I put some miles on those boots this week. The last evening of the season.... Phew did I ever leave it close to the end. This morning I had to push the bow aside and take the rifle. I couldn't leave the bush with a tag knowing I could have taken a elk if I carried the rifle. Here it is.

Congrats Chago on another amazing animal for the season. Awesome to see it work out and agree completely with the thought of doing what it takes to make it happen. I’m floored by the number and quality of insane animals for a year, this has been great just getting to follow along.

I worked until 3 this morning, went home and got a nap in. The rain stopped about 5. Out for a few hours this morning. I'm holding out for a good buck, everything else gets a pass. NEED SLEEP! Working again tonight. [IMG]

Good luck out their rb. Let's get some more points on the board.

Ya this really has been a dream season. Last year's buck so close to my house was incredible. Africa of course being a guided hunt was my first of its kind .And wow did I ever love that. Then drawing a elk tag at home for the first time in my life. Wow. But I put my time in. A lot of miles in the truck going up to scout. And I think I wore out a pair of boots this hunt. Well today the celebrating us over and the work has begun. Tomorrow it's heading home time.

Out again this afternoon. No deer sightings yet but I'm covered up with P&Y mosquitoes. I won't forget my thermacel next time.
