I think i'm going to get out this afternoon for bear. fingers crossed nothing pops up!
CT is open for deer. I put a call in to my old friend who knows a landowner who used to let us hunt.... maybe i'll get a quick in back in the old spot! doubtful though.

I have been getting myself ready for that move also. I completed my Open Water SCUBA certification and I just did the class room and pool part of my Advanced Water Certification. Once that is completed I will be able to SCUBA dive to 130 feet deep instead of 60 that I can now. I will complete that when I go down to Mermet Springs in southern Illinois on Sept 29th and 30th. WOOT WOOT

The weather doesn't look like it will cooperate for opening weekend. I may slip out Sunday afternoon between showers. On the plus side, the temperature will be much cooler. It's been in the low 90s lately. [IMG]

Very cool experience. I had to get down a bit early due to some "drama" my ex wife was creating w/ my youngest daughter. I was so pissed off I had to climb down. Hooked my bow on the rope and went to lower it and the rope snapped dropping my bow 20+ feet to the ground.
Broke off my side stabilizer and bent the site. I think I fixed the site, but need to do some serious shooting to make sure everything is still good. I took a few shots when I got home at about 15 yards and made some adjustments. I will take it out to 30 today and make sure she gets dialed back in.

Sitting in a tree... my happy place, and I find myself still letting my ex wife ruin things for me... ugh.

Droopy made an appearance while I was sitting st my desk thinking about hunting. I was happy to see him haven’t gotten a picture of him since 9/1. He’s got mass out the ass!! Look at his left front leg... does that make him a piebald?

Going out tomorrow afternoon should be good, cold front after rained all day today. I’m hoping to have a run in with that double split G3 buck. He doesn’t have a name yet...I was thinking G3Peat or G3PO and RGIII

    Couple more river bottom bucks...

Sorry to hear that western. Kinda how my luck usually snowballs too, especially when should be relaxing and enjoyable. Hope bow is good and all is set and next sit all comes together.

Wake awesome bucks. Really hoping you can connect with one and soon. The cooler weather should liven things up for sure. You said you’re in mn. I didn’t even realize that before. What town/city? I’m contemplating getting a little drive in for a hunt if I can plan for a bonus doe this season. Usually party hunt with the wife but she sat in with the kids when I got my buck so I’m done for our zone, but was thinking if there was a zone I could drive close too with bonus doe tags could shoot for one sometime too. Was gonna look around on onX and see what public around looks like and maybe a road trip to check out some public, always be cool to meet up with any teammates around.

planning on checking cams again tomorrow. I put a cam out on a run on the edge of a field in a new spot. I am hoping for a couple of consistent does for the youth hunt next Sat AM.
I have to help my buddy move a double ladder tomorrow AM. He is letting me bring the girls there as well Sat for hunt. He said there are a couple of does there daily too.
Fingers crossed the kids can whack a couple.
