    Beautiful mount Wake. Helluva buck!
Sorry to hear boot. Will be here soon enough.
I checked my cams and bears have taken over all spots. May go on shoot some with some friends this week. Just to thin them out

Wish the problem was same here western. Season opened Saturday and not a touch on bait or pics. Was a solid year for natural browse so sounds like not tons of action for lots of people. Might be a waste this year for bear.

I’m putting some buddies in my stands this week with the hopes that they thin a few out for me

Got one of my Oklahoma stands hung and found a turkey feather. I'll probably just gun hunt that property. Out of state license is $300 for each method. Got some good bucks on my go to spot. Got a new phone and lost pictures of bigger bucks. One even has a droptine and extra eyeguard on his right side. Just got doe selfies on my other camera. September 22 can't get here soon enough![IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

My buddy never went out.. something came up and he couldn't make it. I am going to put another buddy in a stand for the weekend with hopes that his 11 year old daughter shoots her first bear. I will be away in Boston at a Red Sox game overnight Friday into Sat PM.

I went to my dad's grave yesterday and had a pretty awesome thing happen. He was a big hunter. I come around a corner and there's a big doe eating hostas. I got a pic of her behind my dad's grave. It was pretty awesome... I felt like he was there...

Haha that's awesome western. It's always nice when we get those experiences when thinking of loved ones. Boys my dream season continues in about ten days I go on my first ever elk hunt. In almost 20 years of applying I finally drew a tag. We have elk populations less than 4 hours from my house. But drawing a tag is incredibly hard. I have been up north scouting and have seen some giants. I would seriously venture a guess of 380-400". I'm trying to stay on top of their movements as tough as it is to draw a tag. The season is purposely only 5 days. We have giants because of how strict the rules are and how few are actually taken every year. So I eed to capitalize. I'm heading up again this weekend to get one last look before the hunt. Only if elk were allowed in the deer contest hahaha. Then after that hunt I'll my focus goes into chasing tail again. I realistically will never get the wife's approval to spend like I did in Africa ever again. And I most likely will never draw a elk tag again. So I need to make this a dream season

Mines nowhere in your guys class but she’s a polished turd that’s fun with the family for now. Hopefully getting a First gen when money and opportunity work out sometime. Kids

Blew a chance at a bear the other day. Have a bait getting hit so hopefully get another try. Did get a few pics of decent bucks. Not tons but potential, and my more likely spikes are still around plenty too. One more week til fun starts

Got bears hitting one bait last few days. Mostly at night. Mom and cubs just before dark last night and looked like solos middle night to early morning. Hopefully they try and get earlier to beat the others then I’ll sit. Won’t shoot mom or cubs so not gonna sit until other ones get in in time or til timing just works and try. At least it’s getting cleared out and some pics, keeps it interesting

    looks good Andrew.
2 of my buddies shot bears over the weekend. Both in the high 100s.
hung a new stand yesterday. Cams have been very quiet, but jumped a nice buck close to one of my stands on way up yesterday.
May have gotten permission on a very good small spot. I need to follow up today. I am going to set another cam for the youth hunt at another spot I haven't been in in quite some time as well.
