    Ticks are extremely bad this year in Ky too. I’ve had deer like that.

    200 yards from your house huh!! I gotta drive hour and a half to see deer! People is all I see from my house for miles!! LOL Great looking bucks you got there. Best of luck this season!

    Very cool! Could those marks just be dried mud, like you see half-way up that one doe's legs?

    Very cool pictures! It looks kind of like a skin disease of some kind, but otherwise a healthy looking youngster. Some great looking bucks in there too!

    Doesn't look like mud, edges to sharp, hair missing from neck area also. Burns? looks like the jaw is almost exposed? Great pictures.

    Yeah, I know it’s not mud as I have other pictures in addition to the one I posted and zoomed in on. Definitely missing hair.

    I don’t really think it’s ticks but I guess it could be. As I said, he ran and bucked and played with other fawns so he is feeling extremely good.

    maybe he was bit by a snake? Could have caused his skin to swell up and then rot off?
