When Todd Graf started Huntingnet years ago, he grabbed up several domain names along with that. When Internet Brands purchased HNI last year, they decided not to buy all the URLs he owned. After a year's woth of non-compete clause was over, he and JZ were free to do their thing again.

    That's the one-minute-while-driving-76 mph version. :d

Don't do that crap Greg! Pull over when you can. I don't need an answer bad enough for you to risk life and limb. CLOSE AND PUSH AWAY THE LAPTOP!

Greg - not entirely accurate, but you're close. Todd owns a plethora of domain names that were not purchased in the HNI sale. Being the crazy guys we are, we had the bright idea to start using those domains names to our advantage instead of having a 20K/year bill for registrations. So the formation of a new business, Hunting Network LLC, came about. We are currently running about 40 different one-page websites with targeted content on them (foodplots.com, huntingtherut.com, etc) that will be targeted towards selling product and providing real-life gear reviews. In addition to those sites we have started our first online store at trailcam.com that sells trail cameras and accessories. Since we are die hard bowhunters and that's where our true passion lays, we also decided to build a website around bowhunting.com to promote and sell bowhunting gear. We are currently in the process of setting up our shopping cart and the rest of the site, and put the forum online first as it was the simplest/easiest way to start building the brand. We are still partners with HNI and are working together with them on numerous projects.

    Hopefully that all makes sense.

When I type www.bowhunting.com into my browser, I wind up back at Huntingnet. I was expecting to be directed to a whole other site.

Is that a glitch or a temporary thing - or will www.bowhunting.com always lead me to HNI?

I'm kinda dumb when it comes to this stuff. Computers are not my forte.

:nana: I'm pleased to see that we have made the executive decision to continue ongoing operations with the Dancing Banana. Always my fave.

Yeah, I'd like to be able to just type in "bowhunting.com" and come here, or at least to a page that leads to here.

In addition to all our covert viral-advertising :ninja: , it would take off like leaps and bounds as well... I can only imagine how many times that URL gets Googled.

The main site (www.bowhunting.com) is under development right now. We're shooting for a September 1 launch, so we've got about a month here before randoms start finding us and joinging in, which ultimately is the goal. As much as we all love talking to one another, its nice to get some fresh opinions/new blood every once in awhile.

Me thinks make one site have it take off and bought out for bookoo bucks... why stop there?
You have the numbers and the following, build another, lure old member in, hopefully it does as well and the
next big offer rolls in. You don't bite the hand that feeds ya!
