Nope, I've never even seen one first hand. Doesn't appear to be much of a price difference between them and LW.

I'm sitting most of the time and the vast majority of my shots have been from a seated position. I always position my stands so that the deer trail is toward my left. In the 20 yrs I've been doing this I've never found there to be any difference between shooting while standing or sitting. In either case you must bend from the waist in order to get on the target

I sit most of the time but have killed deer both sitting and standing. I stand up every hour or so and stand for about 15-20 minutes and then sit back down.

I do both. Last year, I shot 4 deer, all while sitting down. It really depends on my mood and what the movement is like that sit. Now, during the rut, you'll find me standing almost the entire time. I have a couple of setups that I can't shoot to my right because of tree cover, etc. I only get whats in front or to my left. Being a right handed shooter, these stands I almost exclusively sit because its confortable and I don't ever have to turn to my right.

Problem I have with shooting while sitting from a stand is that it encourages you to drop your arm rather then bending at the waste to get on target. We all know how that works out! Also have seen quite a few people blow their bow up hitting their lower limb on something while sitting. doh!

I would suggest doing what is comfortable and makes you confident. A key is moving early as possible to get ready, before they are close. You say you don't move/get ready until visual.. well that's when they can see you too. So try to be in the shooting position (standing or sitting) as much as possible so less movement is needed. Then when you hear something, or think there could be something coming, get ready BEFORE you see it so there is no way they can see you moving.

I sit 99.9 percent of the time. During prime time I keep my hand on the grip, and lay the bow on my lap ready to go. Mostly because I'm uneasy with heights!

i'll normal stand durning the hours I think my chances are best but i'll sit between that. But I practice both way and am on shooting either but prefer standing.

For a quick quiet set up you should go lone wolf or XOP...I don't see why you can't still use your climber...you just need to be selective about your trees, and I realize you need a straight branch less tree. You gotta think like a deer and imagine what trail and what areas they are likely to come from, and then be there on the ground looking up...then think back cover....pick the tree that has the most cover behind you and not sky as that's how they get your movement...your dark blob outline moving against a white sky. I also like to shoot and stand, but doesn't mean one can't become proficient at both...just need to practice. I usually sit after climbing in, and stand whenever I see a deer and know it can't see me, but when an hour before sunset hits I am up on my feet the whole time.

When I started in the Trade I work in I had the issue with heights, I thought. I was later informed that it was deceleration trauma that bothered me. The sudden stop at the bottom. It took a little time to get over that. The only way I learned was you have to trust your equipment. You have to know that the harness you are wearing, the hooks on your feet and your climbing belt will keep you in the air and prevent you from making it to the ground. After I learned all that, everyone at work kept telling me to trust your equipment, it made my life lots easier.
Personally I don't mind shooting from a standing or sitting position. I stand and sit equally. I'll stand more towards evening. I won't lie, I do get tired and have to take an occasional nap. I set for that...... LOL. Very rare, but I've leaned out until my harness was tight to take a shot before. I don't give myself very large shooting lanes either. I believe the cover is more important as I'm fairly fidgety.
As far as stand type goes I prefer the hang on stands especially the cast aluminum. LW is what I use. I also have a couple of climbers but you have to find the right tree.

I sit until it is time to stand, I prefer to shoot standing up but have no problem shooting while seated.
