How many folks use a single pin sight for hunting - I go back and forth - I used multiple pins sights and then switch to a single vertical pin

Shots here are seldom over 25-30 yards - so just wanted some opinions of what you use and why

Spot-Hogg Hogg-It. 5 bright pins with the Hoggwrap and built like a tank. Great adjustability too.

I use a single pin for that very reason.. I have only killed 2 deer in 20 yrs farther than 30 yds and they were both 32 yds...so I just keep it simple and use one pin..

Frank I use the HHA 5500, I set it on "MY" 25 yards and let it rip. I shot my buck last year at 34 steps and double lunged him at this setting. I like the adjustability, as I routinely shoot 70 yards at my strutting turkey in my yard.

Thanks I may go the single pin route this year - it is a helluva lot brighter in low light conditions as well

I have never used a single pin, but I like the concept. Like you guys I have only shot a few deer past 30 yds. I have thought about getting one of the adjustable single pin sights that has the second stationary pins. They look like a good hunting sight.

I used a single pin for a while and went back to the multi-pin sight and now I'm thinking about going back to a single pin again. For hunting the simplicity is nice.

yeh, I have a HHA sight but I never move it...it stays at the 25 yd mark because I can shoot out to about 28 yds with that setting. ..

I'm a big fan of the single pin sight. A big fan. Multiple pins just confuse the hell outta me....Singles are about as simple as it gets, in my world. No cluttered sight picture......no accidentally using the wrong pin.....Been shooting a single pin for 5 years and have never had any trouble.

But, folks have been using multiple pin for years w/out any problems either so.......Whatever works.

Does anybody remember the single pins with a trigger to move them from one yardage to the next? You could move those at full draw if you wanted. Does anybody make a sight like this any more?

Multi pins for me for pin point accuracy. No bow on this forum hits dead on for 20 and 30 yards with one pin. My fastest bow (82nd) has a pin gap. My max yardage doesn't allow for single pin use.

Single pin set at 30 yards.Uncluttered sight picture,no confusion, just hold accordingly. It is a Custom Bow Equipment sight that I can move.If I am in a tighter area with no possibility for a longer shot I can move it.

Compared my sword sight (multi-pin) to the range rover (single) the last 10 mins of light last night - the tru glo was a heckuva lot easier to see - going to bolt it up late this afternoon and give it a try
